Dek stood and listened to the Masters as they spoke of what he had told them all. These were things that he already knew needed to be done, things that he was prepared to see through. But still, prepared as he was, he was caught little off guard as the one known as Micah spoke of the owner of the lightsaber he carried.
“We might as well get it over with. It doesn’t bother me to speak the truth, and the simple truth to your question is that being put forth is that I was trained by the Sith…and yes, a real Sith. A master in the use of the Dark Side of the Force he was, an Echani whose name I was never told.”
Perhaps this realization would be a shock, but it might also lend credence to his accounts as well. Sooner or later they would find out, or figure it out on their own anyways.
“I was stolen from my mother at a very young age by this Echani, trained intensively until this Sith Master apparently decided I was not good enough, then I was sold into slavery where I remained for many years until I ended up with pirates who taught me a trade. And to answer your question about where I found your friends lightsaber…” Dek paused, looking at the Jedi Master Micah of whom had spoken of the weapon. “After I got my own ship, I returned to seek out the Sith Master who had trained me…for what purpose, I cannot even say to this day…but once there, I found both my former Master, and your friend, embroiled in a battle. In the end, they killed each other.”
Dek paused for a moment in the brief telling of his history, a history spoken in sure words or truth, showing no fear whatsoever to the repricussions to its telling. It was his life, and he had few regrets, and no bones about the choices he had made.
“I was unsure what to do in the aftermath. I took what little was worth being sold, and I claimed the light sabers of both men. I ended up wielding one, which was obviously your friends. It felt right. He gave his life to keep my former master from killing me. Its something I find very hard to live with at times, but it happened, and I wield his saber in honor of him.”
Almost defiantly, he looked to the assembled Masters, daring them to judge him for his choices. There were only two ways for the to judge him. They would either understand and admonish him for his choice. Or they would condemn him. He expected the latter!
“I will gladly accompany whomever you choose to seek out this holocron. I feel responsible for its reactivation, and the subsequent knowledge it might reveal. I only ask one favor in return for my help.” Dek paused once more, trying to read the facial expressions of those surrounding him. But as expected, they were unreadable. “I would like to know the name of the Jedi that saved my life, and changed the course of my existence.”
It was the first emotion that he had truly shown from the moment he had stepped into the council chamber, that is, if one could call it that.

Once more silent words seemed to be expressed rapidly. Then Master Plo Koon spoke, " You are not Sith, this much is apparent even to us. If your Master had been Sith you would be also. If that you were; you would not be standing here speaking. However, this is a grave matter. It is imperitive that we get to the bottom of it. "
" We also sense the Dark-side is not strong in you. You have not allowed it's growth or you or simply weak in the Force. Either one it is also saving you... or you are greater than us at hiding such. Whichever the case is know this, you are being watched. Your assistance in this is appreciated, however, we have yet to determine what we truly see in you."
Micah Giiett looked from one Master to the other then at Dek. " On a lighter note... Orshus Fii was the owner of that saber. A wise Jedi and seeker of knowledge. It is a material object as such whoever owns it does so own it, I do ask that you take care of it at least for the sake of memory. He was a good friend and a great Jedi. May his saber help you in your path of living. "
Master Giiett leaned back looking once more towards Master Koon whos black and white view of this entire arrangement through telepathic conversation was well known to the other Masters, known well enough that he spoke with his continued level of seriousness un-checked by the rest.
" Two Jedi will be finding you. They will accompany you after the holocron. Your ship will be kept in Bay 4 where you landed. When the Jedi are assembled and ready to leave you may. "
With this spoken several of the Masters stood and began to leave the chamber.
Adi Gallia nodded towards Dek and his companions. Staying seated, near her was Eeth Koth who had been silent the whole meeting and Master Oppo Rancsis. " If you would please excuse us. We have more visitors arriving who seek our Council. "

A day later for the Krakana clan...
" Bug! Bug! Wake up! " Yells and shouts came outside her door. " Time to get ready! Our last day! " Bangs on a door came followed by kicks before the small furry form bolted off running back out to eating.
They were gathered, they would eat then the small clearing just outside the garden would be filled by the six remaining Krakana clan Jedi hopefuls.
Zag and Kizkun were sparing already preparing for later on in the day when the Jedi who were seeking padawans would arrive to inspect those who were now of age. Zag always better at lightsaber dueling was quick on the upper-hand brutal violent and abit cruel he teased and taunted young Kizkun with battered swat after swat; the training saber seering flesh and fur where it hit even leaving small bruises and welts.
Kiz soon gave up nursing his wounds as Zag taunted the remaining younglings. None stepping forth as he struted about proudly to be chided for such actions by their care-taker Master. His head lowering as he adopted a more humbled look.
The garden would sing with life into the day, younglings would recite the code, their trainings and center themselves as they were prepared. Emotions not so completely trained out of young hearts and minds creeping forth to display fear of being sent to agricorps or similar, rejection, loss of friends and other such outcomes.

Dek had never claimed to be Sith, never honestly thought that he was. If he had been, his former Master might not have sold him off like a used shoe. Still, he couldn’t help but feel a burden lifted from his shoulders at the proclamation. He also knew, though, that in times of extreme distress and anger, he often did things that could hardly be considered in alignment with the light side of the force.
“I couldn’t honestly tell you, as I have no idea what you are sensing. I was trained, but I have no true idea of my limitations as the training was never complete, and I was forced to learn most of what I have on my own.” It was said with a slight shrug of his shoulder, as it hardly mattered to him, and mostly likely didn’t to them either.
“Orshus Fii” Dek whispered, as if speaking it would make sure that he never forgot it. It was that man, that Jedi, who had shown him the truth of his former Master. That did not mean he wanted to run off and become a Jedi, but it had kept him from following the path of the dark side. When he spoke again, it was with great reverence and care.
“I will indeed. I shall care for it as I always have, with great care and respect.”
As if sensing something from the one known as Master Koon, Dek looked at the Master for a long moment before responding to the words spoken to him.
“That is fine. I won’t have to worry about arranging another dock location, and it will give me the opportunity to resupply as needed before your chosen Jedi join us.” His words apparently satisfied the Jedi Masters as they filed out, leaving him and his companions with just a couple of Masters.
“Of course, and thank you for your time.” He said formally, giving a bow before excusing himself out of the chamber, fully expecting Ceeta and An’ka to join him as he made his way back through the Temple and out to Pad 4, via the same route they had taken to get inside. Many whispers followed them, no doubt because they had just left the council chamber, as did many stares.
Rolling his sleeve back, Dek opens the cargo bay door using the special device strapped to his wrist. He stopped, though, as he reached the base of the ramp and looked around the Temple and surrounding buildings. He had already arranged for some supplies, not to mention a few other things, that would be delivered to ‘Serenity’ after he supplied them with a location. He would do that shortly. His head turns to look at An’ka.
“You were awfully quiet. Wanna share your thoughts?”

Orn spun his lekku's dancing behind him as he dipped low underneath Ryl's roundhouse an attempt at the Rising Rancor one that brought him in a fast 'uppercut' towards the other man's jaw. A jaw that would tuck in and weave to the side a back-slide being employed surprising the Twi'lek as usual with the larger man's sudden bursts of non-Force assisted speed.
Ryl's right hand came up in a distracting swat to the right of Toqema's head one that was ignored as a jab was tossed in retaliation a strike that would encounter a blocking left forearm. A forearm pushed upwards. Pressing Orn's attack with it a side kick rising to meet ribs that would not evade, wind erupting from punished lungs as a hand came flashing upwards catching the side of a green cheek in rapid succession.
The Twi'lek lifted with the second blow landing on his elbow and knee, all upon his left side. Spinning with it to roll from a stomp that missed it's mark, one leg scissoring over the other in a guarding sweep to press his assaulter back twisting upwards onto a knee and foot. His hand upraising in submission.
" Alright. I yield. " He announced through gasps. The other man nodding his bare chest a pale contrast to the green colored one of the opposing fighters rose and fell with ragged breathing. Sweat sheening both mens bodies.
" You have improved Orn. " The other conceded as the back of a wrapped fist wiped across his lips ,a fleck of blood being removed with it.
" Not enough it would seem. " Straightening up he brushed both of his hands over his 'head-tails' making sure their sheathing of thick cloth was still in place. " I had feared you would have grabbed one. "
" No. There wouldn't be much honor in that. " The Kiffar said with a small shake of his head. One that caused his braids and pony-tail to bounce.
" Yes, but see if that you had such a weakness I assure you I would take that opening. " Announced Jedi Knight Orn Toqema with a sharp toothed smile.
" I'm sure you would have. " Ryl replied dryly before lifting his canteen to his lips. Orn was already moving, his shirt and robes being quickly adorned. " What's the hurry? "
" The Krakana clan's last day. I want to see the hopefuls. Perhaps I may yet choose a Padawan. " he said with a chuckle.
" I suppose I should follow you. The Council ordered I find another, especially since I have been unable to reach Amania through intercom or the Force. " He frowned at that, uncertain as to where she had left. Wondering if perhaps she had left when Cryo had. Both who have recently distanced themselves from himself and the Order. Failures of his own design. Not that they failed him to his own mind, but he had failed them as he had several others whos images flashed before his minds eye. The muscle in his right jaw bounced as he clothed himself Orn himself guzzling down the contents of a canteen before giving a sniff towards himself.
" I doubt the younglings will notice your scent beyond their own nerves. "
" Yes but I notice. "
" Then take the time to hit the refresher. They'll be around until the end of the day. They don't ship till tomorrow morning. I'll meet up with you in the garden. " Ryl turned away without a word after that headed back towards his own quarters as Orn watched his friends back in a questionative stare not having remembered his friend being so brooding.
With a shrug followed by a spin he sent himself off towards the Temple gardens eager to see what younglings were present.

An’ka remained quiet as they entered the Jedi Master’s council room, her eyes scanning each one of them, looking them over, and just listening as they began to speak to Dek. She listened as he told the story, making sure everything he said was right, not having to add anything in as he left nothing out, except the part about how she got to Tattooine and what she was doing there in the first place. She was sure that if any of them wanted to know, that they would ask, but since they did not, she let Dek do all of the talking, the less she said, the better off she would probably be.
Listening to the story as to how he acquired his lightsabre, she thought perhaps he would be happy to finally find out whose it was. The ends of her lekku twitched as she heard one of the Masters say that two Jedi would be finding them, she could only hope that it wasn’t the one who’s ship she stole, perhaps the one that had helped her when she was in that prison cell, but then again who was to say that he would even remember who she was.
As they left the council chambers, she still remained quiet, having heard that they would have to stay in the city and not sure if that was the best course of action, but not a lot of say, did she have and she knew that. The longer they stayed in one place the more likely it was that they would be found by the one that wanted them dead. Of course, she didn’t think that he would dare come here, not with so many Jedi about.
When the cargo bay door open, An’ka wanted no more than to run up the ramp and go and hide in her room from all of the goings on, she didn’t like being here, it made her uneasy, to not know what was going to happen. As she heard Dek, she looked over at him. “The last time I was here, I stole a ship from a Jedi, being quiet may be my best option at this moment.

He laughed. Not just a little laugh, but a full on belly laugh that filled the cargo hold. After a few moments, he calmed down and held up a hand to forestall any incoming anger.
“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself.” He said as the first genuine smile since they landed on Ossus crossed his lips. “That explains quite a lot to me, really. I was wondering how you ended up on Tattooine, and yet weren’t trussed up in chains. Although, how you managed to steal a Jedi ship is something I would love to hear.”
Dek continued to smirk as An’ka and Ceeta climbed back on board ‘Serenity’. Somehow he doubted that either would be leaving the safety of the Yacht anytime soon, if at all, particularly considering the enlightenment he had received from the Twi’lek. Calming down a bit further, he moves into the ship a bit deeper.
“Well, from the sounds of it, we’re gonna be here for a couple of days, so might as well get comfy. If either of you want to leave the ship, feel free too…just make sure you let me know so I don’t have to worry. In the meantime, I need to make a few communications to get some new supplies delivered to this location, and then I’ll be down on the landing pad getting some exercise.
His words were not an order, but it would be a courtesy if they let him know what they would be doing so that they didn’t get left behind, or worse, ended up getting lost. An’ka he wasn’t too concerned about. She would fare well enough on Coruscant. Ceeta worried him though, for his friend was far out of his element here. As an after thought, he returns to weapons locker and opens it, pulling out his own blaster, as well as the weapons of the other two so that they would have them. He didn’t say it, but he expected they would understand that it would be best to stow those weapons in their quarters unless they intended to practice.
#####################################################
Each of the three had gone their separate ways. Dek had already made the contacts that he had needed to, and their supplies would be delivered over the course of the next 24 hours. This, of course, required that Dek remain with the ship at all times so that they cargo could be properly stowed.
Using special panels, Dek and Ceeta had made a small enclosure for the Ysanna’s beast. It was something the beast didn’t like, but it seemed more comfortable cornered off by itself then it had been in the open cargo bay. It was an arrangement meant for the safety of everyone, particularly the beast in Ceeta’s care. It also allowed the free movement of the astromechs in the cargo hold without bothering the animal anymore then necessary. R2 was even then moving crates and cargo, taking items where they needed to go within the ship, and just securing others in the smaller hold.
Dek was down on the landing pad, not far from the cargo bay’s ramp. The Jedi temple loomed up before him off to the side as he stood ready on the platform, lightsaber in hand as a remote floated around. Over the course of his exercising, many Jedi had passed nearby, ogling the odd man with his lightsaber. In a flurry of motion, the purple blade of the saber flared to life the moment the remote shot a series of laser blasts at him. Each one was picked off and absorbed or deflected by the elegant blade. It was a simple exercise, one meant to allow a user of the Force to focus his power of cognizance, as well as his dexterity with the saber. Most Padawans, from his understanding, began with such exercises.
Quite obviously, Dek was not the most powerful of users of the Force, but he was trained well enough. And while the remote training was simple in nature, it was sometimes the only thing that he had on longer runs in space to keep him occupied, as well as decent exercise to help him keep his power focused.
Focus. Focus was something that he had to work on on a daily basis. It was the only thing that kept him from losing his anger sometimes, and it was extremely important that he not lose his temper. It had happened in the past, though he never remembered what happened when it did happen. The last time that it had, he had been in a business dealing gone wrong. He had blacked out not long after the attack, but when he ‘woke’ up, everyone in the room had been dead except for him, scorch marks all over the chamber and on the bodies…almost as if electricity had been shot straight through them. Dek suspected that when he lost his temper and blacked out, that he became a pure conduit for the Dark side of the Force. It was not a pleasant thought.

" And here Master Cartomil is the last of my students. " Motioned Master Druwae as Juna approached. The dark skinned man with the shaven head studied silently as his fingers brushed over his jawline. Tracing the black goatee that framed his face. He stared at the girl a long moment before turning and striding off after a short whispered conversation with the Krakana clan's caretaker.
Zag, Kizkun and the forth remaining a Ithorian named Sryta Robo all sat off to the side. Looking rather down, Zag was pushing the Ithorian's shoulder over and over again. " Cry hammerhead. Cry. Come on. "
" Knock it off Zag, this is why you're going to AgriCorps. All the Masters see it. " The girl slanted to beady black eyes at the Twi'lek.
He pushed her again. " You are to. It's all Ithorians are good for. Farmers. "
The Sryta sighed and rolled her eyes. Head turning as she looked away from him seeming more annoyed than actually emotionally injured by the bully of a youngling. Kizkun however was in tears, the chubby little Bothan of the Sut family seemed heartbroken. Eyes lighting up as he spotted Juna bolting towards her in what would end up as a near tackling hug.
" We're getting sent away! " He wailed. " They took Yutani. " The furry child persisted. Both Twi'lek and Ithorian youngling turning to look as this went on. Frowning in unison.
Ryl Mevek from his view of the garden by the side pillar nodded to Master Druwae from where he was, the woman only smiled fondly and turned to over-see the younglings as they cloistered together. Her four remaining, her last clan she would train and perhaps the group she'd grown most attached to perhaps because she knew they were her last. She had relatively no faith in any of these four being selected. The last Master she anticipated on taking on one of these younglings was Cartomil and he seemed to show very little desire. Perhaps the remaining were not war-like enough for the knowingly aggressive Jedi, and in Zag's case... too. It was for the best with that one; he was violent and bull-headed. AgriCorps was the most suitable place for the lad. Kizkun would be shipped to the same as would the Ithorian girl and Juna. A pity, but a reality.
Turning away from the four she made way towards the Jedi Mevek, the Kiffar was a known to be very strong in the precognitive aspects of the Force. This made her curious and want to ask, she cleared her throat politely as she neared getting a smile from the young man before she followed his gaze back to the four.
" Has Orn shown himself? "
" Yes. He left not long ago, took another of the youths with him. He seemed more eager than the boy. "
The man nodded. " They all seem very old. I am surprised. "
" Yes they are the youngest of the Krakana clan, my last as you know, all of them good children. They will be very useful where they're headed... where... " The woman asked with a coy smile, " do you see them headed? "
His shoulders bouncing beneath dark robes in a slight shrug as he allowed himself to glimpse into the Force just enough to get a vague imprint of each " I am not sure Master. Though... I can see a vague image of the Ithorian happy where she is headed, the twi'lek is a puddle of imagery I cannot make out and the Bothan... will only become a disappointment. "
" My poor Kizkun. " She sighed then pressed. " What of the Balosar? "
Ryl frowned, and looked towards her, his eyes tracing the wrinkled lines of her features before he grunted. The younger Jedi's eyes returned to the group as they continued their observation.
Druwae managed a somewhat of a smile, turning to face the children once again as her hands clasped over one another.

" If you would excuse me, Master. " He said to Druwae before a slight bow leaving the old woman to look on as he approached the group of younglings.
" Well hello. " He said towards all of them.
Getting a meek, greetings Master from the Ithorian, Kizkun said nothing as the Twi'lek boy Zag softened his glare and bowed heavily towards the Knight who approached. Ryl kneeled down his robes forming around him as he did so fingertips brushing across one of the flowers that jutted forth from the ground aside his legs; one of the gardens many alien flora. This flower is wilting, it's dying. " He stated flatly. The Ithorian sighed, " I tried to save it. " Zag shrugged; " It's just a flower. " Kizkun said nothing stepping backwards further behind Juna. The man's dark brown eyes studied everyone of them, something beyond them seemed to be working in depths as they gave their responses. Their care-taker had warned them they would be tested, he was sure of it. Yet none so far seemed to catch this, he wouldn't give up on the hopefuls just yet though.
A spark of excitement teased Juna as Master Ryl stepped forward. That wasn’t to say he would pick her, but if he were to pick any of them it would be one less youngling of the Krakana clan for Master Druwae to fret over afterwards. She smiled eager to greet him but held the tone of her voice at bay as to not reveal her glee in seeing him approach.
Softly Juna gave Kizkun a nudge to encourage him, wanting at least one of them to pursue the path of the Padawan. Perhaps not so much Zag, but even if he were to be chosen, then that couldn’t be a horrible thing. At least that was her thought on the matter. “Greetings Master Ryl,” she had said remembering him from a brief acquaintance in the past. From what she could recall, he had always been a friendly face. That made his presence all the more excitable, though it did not mean he’d be suckered into taking anyone out of pity. As he knelt paying a wilting flower attention Juna’s head tipped to the side curiously. The other younglings spoke save poor Kizkun and Juna thought to hold her tongue for a moment longer to give the tender hearted boy a chance to speak. He dipped just behind her to the side and a partial frown formed.
“Yes it is wilting and soon will die, but do we not all learn that there is no death, only the force?”
The words came from nowhere after realization struck that he likely was not making idle conversation, but hoping for a simplistic reply. The antenna upon her head withdrew slightly, the hollowed tips still protruding from her scalp just enough to sense sound and read the effectiveness of her own comment. Juna looked down at Master Ryl expectantly, forehead wrinkled mildly in thought.
" Yes Juna. Death is not the end, there is only the Living Force. " He confirmed; standing upright to look upon all of the younglings the silence of the Knight seemed to un-nerve Kizkun who moved around abit more even after the nudge he seemed as if he refused to speak around the imposing Kiffar. " That being said... should we save the flower or let it die? Do you think it is unhappy? " He asked. His eyes roaming from the Krakana clan to the wilted bent flower which sat alone admist the grass surrounding it, it's nature to live solo from others of it's species. " It looks so alone. " The Ithorian commented, a sigh escaping her. " We should move it to it's friends. " Zag stared hard a moment then looked at Ryl, " You're testing us? What is the point of this? it's just a flower Master. " " Yes, and there is more to being a Jedi than just being good with a lightsaber and protecting the galaxy from evil Zag. " The boy frowned and Kizkun spoke. " We should save it and move it! " Excited showing a sudden enthusiasm.
Juna had never had anyone use a flower as a means to test her understanding of the force itself. But it made sense for him to do so. It was such a small thing, alone and the fact that it was wilting gave him aid in the conversation. A flower was easy to give textbook responses to rather than watching something writhe in pain as it died a hard death. Flowers went silently without a fuss as if it were the most natural thing in the world, just like the force itself.
“I wouldn’t think it’s so unhappy,” she said softly, a smile curling her lips into thin pleasant lines of pink. She did not smile because of her answer, but more the fast interruption of Kizkun who actually showed excitement in a task beyond eating and cuddling with whomever was tolerant enough to allow it. To Juna the flower couldn’t be so unhappy as perhaps one might think. It was alive, dying or not, and had lived a good life. There was no fear in death because death itself was just as normal as living, at least for the flower.
“Everything in life should be respected, and protected, but what if it is just time for that flower to go?” Juna was no expert on floral life, but as with any living thing, it would only live so long. “I only mean,” Juna focused upon the flower more than the Jedi Knight as if it had the very answer to everything residing just there upon it’s wrinkled petals, “It will die eventually no matter how many times it is moved, but another will grow probably right there in it’s place.” It may not have been the correct answer, or even one remotely similar to what he expected, but it was her answer along with a question attached. To further ones self in the way of the Jedi was to acquire knowledge, and if that took a question to obtain, she was not above asking.
Ryl tipped his head curiously to the side as Juna spoke. Zag releasing an exasperated, " Of course a Bug would know about flowers." A groan following what he said. The Kiffar smiled slightly towards the twi'lek placing a hand on his shoulder, patting it gently before he spoke. " Juna say goodbye to your friends. " Master Druwae stepped foreward suddenly joining the Knight's side. " Kizkun, Zag and Sryta come on. Let's do as say our farewells to Juna and be on our way. We have some things to attend to. "
Kizkun's face welled with tears, Sryta stepped forward to hug Juna whispering, " You will make a great Knight. " speaking this with a rather cool tone and a odd aura of maturity. Zag glared at Juna and turned walking off; the flower they had been observing crushing beneath one of his feet as he strode from the central area of the garden, anger and pain almost seeming to seeth from the youth. A sudden sob came from the bothan child before he joined the hug the Ithorian had placed on Juna. " Enough of that! " chided the aged woman, " You all act as if I've taught you nothing. "
Were Juna not so incredibly used to Zag’s snide comments she may have taken offense to the bug and flowers comment. Instead her eyes remained trained on the flower for a moment longer, the words of the Jedi Knight not actually sinking in right away. As Master Druwae came forward reality hit and Juna looked up into the face of the aging woman. Small arms were fast to encircle her, first from Sryta who only whispered encouragement and then Kizkun who seemed more distressed. What would have been a smile, noting pride in accomplishment that she would be continuing her journey became a face of extreme modesty.
Juna couldn’t help but wonder if Yutani felt the same way when he’d been selected, but decided that he was probably more excited than herself. That was not to say she wasn’t thrilled, but an odd feeling of concern for the others, even the spiteful Zag touched her. With both of her arms drawn tightly around Kizkun and Sryta both Juna whispered, “I will miss you both and hope one day we all cross paths again.” Zag had already cleared the area and Juna was grateful that he’d not lingered longer for confrontation over the long lived rivalry. With the fast farewells brought to a startling halt as Master Druwae spoke loudly in what Juna saw as feigned protest, she gave them both a final squeeze and then stepped away to stand before the old woman.
“Thank you Master Druwae,” said Juna with the utmost sincerity.
She wanted to reach out and hug the woman tightly, this to her was something akin to telling a mother goodbye right before knowingly going on a daring adventure into the vast unknown. But her arms remained at her sides as if she were unsure of how the Jedi Knight may view continued displays of affection.
Druwae offered a smile as she physically steered her two remaining younglings off. Kizkun in a fit of horrid tears and the Ithorian girl seeming amazingly calm as they headed the direction the Twi'lek had stomped off. Ryl's head tipped down to look at Juna, apparently seizing her up before he turned and began walking. " Go to your room, braid your hair properly then gather what belongings you have and make sure you're ready to depart, I'll be waiting outside the council chambers. You have five minutes, Padawan. " The Jedi departed the gardens with his final words leaving her to do as he had commanded, himself headed down the halls to occupy himself outside the council's doors while he waited as per earlier requested summons.
One hand raised just at the wrist as Sryta glanced over her shoulder before being escorted out and Juna gave a discrete wave. Kizkun could be heard even after he’d been removed from her sights and she could only hope that he would find his way and live a quality life without the likes of Zag shredding him first chance available. A soft silence struck Juna and she realized the Jedi Knights eyes were upon her. The upturned portion of the hand curled back at her side that had waved lowered into a natural position and she tipped her chin up to listen as he spoke. Comparatively he was so very tall, she’d never realized just how tall until now.
“Yes Master R…” Juna had begun only to stop short realizing that being a youngling had its advantages, one such advantage having been calling him Master Ryl when the proper form of address was his last name. “Master Mevek,” it felt so formal to say his name as such and a brief look of discomfort clouded her normally confident eyes.

Juna did not stand around dawdling after instructions had been given. The Jedi Knight left quickly and she did much the same, fast to make her way back to the room that had been hers for quite some time. She collected her belongings into a small pack, and then opened took the time to sit before a small oval shaped mirror to selectively choose a strand of hair that would mark her as Padawan. Five minutes came and went and as expected Juna was to be at the council chamber doors with a smooth glide of motion. Most likely it had been a bit longer than the allotment of time, but Juna showed up with a youthful smile and true purpose.
Ryl watched as the girl came quickly down the hallway, noting she'd done as he said even if she was a minute or two late. His arms unfolded from his chest and he heaved a large sigh. From within his right sleeve he withdrew a cylinder shaped artifact she would recognize immediately. " This is yours until you craft your own. Once that is accomplished you can return it to me. If not... well it is only an object. " He turned his attention towards the brown and maroon clad temple guard, motioning for Juna to hand over her belongings to him. " Please hold this for us would you. " The dark skinned man nodded reached a gloved hand out to the girl as Ryl opened the doors to the chambers leaving her to follow him to their center.
By the sound of his sigh Juna wondered how delayed she had been in gathering her belongings. Was the Jedi Knight unpleased so soon? The smile faded charming as it had been and her eyes took on a widened example of youth. As he moved and withdrew a lightsaber from his sleeve the antenna upon Juna’s head emerged fully hollowed funnel shaped ends pivoting forward without her knowledge. It was a physical sign of curiosity that occurred more often than not unless she purposefully thought to keep them withdrawn from sight.
“Thank you Master Mevek,” she said softly, once again testing the words. She extended her left hand and gently took what he offered then was directed to give her pack to the guard. No sooner had the weight of her pack been removed from her right hand was the Jedi Knight striding forward into the council chamber. Juna exchanged glances with the guard and uttered a fast “Thank you,” in his direction also and wasted no time in finding her way into the chambers opened before her.
Those present when Taddio had been were once again, Masters Micha Giiett, Adi Gallia, Oppo Rancsis, Yaddle, Plo Koon, Eeth Koth and Yarael Poof all gathered around in their horseshoe like formation. Ryl stood in the center bowing once before straightening.
Adi Gallia turned her eyes from him after a smile to the form of Juna. " Ah, Master Mevek has acquired himself a Padawan. Very good, well hello there little one. " She offered, Micah Giiett nodded to her also well known amongst the younglings for his 'magic' tricks, sleight of hand and jokes he commonly employs. The rest all offered kind smiles and nods as well before the aura of 'serious' overtook the room.
" It would seem we are re-directing you Ryl. " Came Yarael Poof's words. " We've discussed this and decided you will be the one to investigate the occurances going on in Tantas and the level of truth behind what an outsider has recently informed us. The Shades of Ringali you were investigating have resurfaced it would seem. Rumor of heavy movement has reached our ears and tales of Dark-siders claiming to be Sith are becoming abit too commonplace. Your familiarity with the Shades is why we are choosing you. Tantas will be your destination and... "
" We will need you to watch over your... guides. " The Knight spoke abruptly, " My guides Master? " Plo Koon next in line to speak, " Yes. More news has been brought to us in the form of a man known as Taddio Tara'dek, he has a small crew with him and seems to be Force-sensitive as does the Ysanna with him, of course. The 'leader' Taddio even possesses a lightsaber of one of our own. So we thoroughly advise caution."
The Kiffar frowned and reached a hand up brushing it across his jawline feeling a fingertip over the stubble that existed upon it. " Hrm, I've never heard of the man. Tantas you say... it is a veritable block of Ice... I was not even aware there was still life upon it. "
Yaddle nodded sagely, " Life there is, much. Deep inside frozen earth, societies thrive. "
Jedi Knight nodded to the Masters, " Where will I meet up with this Taddio? " " He awaits, in bay you will find his ship. " More from Master Yaddle. Eeth Koth deciding to also speak, " Take your own fighters though, I'm unaware of how safe it may be for you and your new padawan. Juna is it? " He asked. Ryl Mevek knowing Juna as with other younglings had rudimentary training in piloting her own ship was abit worried about that but did not voice this to the council, either she could fly well or not. She was now his responsibility as was further training. " So the two of us? "
" No. Not just the two of you Master Mevek, Master Toqema will be shadowing you as well. Do not give up information to your soon to be companions of his presence. Shield your thoughts, though I doubt the man or his crew could read you, but your padawan will need to watch herself. " Advised Micah.
" As you wish Masters. " Relief struck him knowing Orn would be following them, the Jedi no matter the scenario was a master of stealth and subterfuge. His ability to go un-noticed was uncanny to the point of near legendary. The added numbers brought safety and abit more confidence in their task.
" Once you have reached Tantas make contact once again. To us, do not breach Master Toqema's cover. "
" Of course. " He responded immediately, despite being absorbed in thought. " We leaev immediately correct? "
" Yes Jedi, immediately. " Master Gallia confirmed.
Juna maintained a solemn look while attempting youthful professionalism. Barely twenty minutes before hand she had braced herself for the end of one journey and the beginning of a new one. Now by the good graces of a flower and it’s ability to remain simple despite outside influences even the crushing death brought on by the foot of a giant, Juna was a Padawan. A certain level of excitement was easily read through her best efforts to appear calm and unaffected by the decision of the Jedi Knight. That is until she was addressed as well and viewed. A wide smile formed and Juna looked from face to face before lowering her eyes in a calming sweep. Her fingers tangled against one another over the lightsaber and then she crossed her hands behind her back to stand tall. Still shadowed by the Jedi Knight’s height Juna couldn’t help but wonder if one of the reasons Jedi wore robes was so they could fidget without someone else taking notice. Because all she seemed to be able to do was just that until willfully concentrating on standing perfectly still. The tip of her nose itched as they spoke and she refused to sooth the sensation. Conversation continued around Juna, one that she paid close attention to as it seemed to involve her future destination along with Master But this was not the time for her to speak, to do so would be to interrupt those superior and mar her reputation from the get go. Juna was not so very outspoken in the world of adults as it were and knew well the benefits of remaining quiet. So she stood with a passive gaze, shoulders drawn back chin soon to lift high when Master Mevek spoke. This was her first lesson on Council Chamber etiquette as far as Juna was concerned. It seemed he only spoke if spoken to, and always answered in a tone of attentive respect but was free to question when need be. The conversation itself didn’t seem all that different from one she would have had as a youngling faced by more than one teacher and it was now that she understood that not so much would change aside from rank. Younglings were molded into Padawan, Padawan to Knights, but the teachings from cradle on up were all able to be directly applied no matter the age. It was only furthered knowledge and experience that she lacked now, as the first 12 years of life had taught her the basics any young Jedi should know.
" Very well, anything else Masters? " Asked Ryl.
" Nothing further from myself. " Adi Gallia responded looking towards the others who all shook their heads in turn. Micah looking at Juna with a large smile, " A congratulations to you youngling... or I mean, padawan. " He said with a chuckle and a wink. His almost always jovial features lit up despite the grave matters at hand.
Almost infectious with his mirth the others also added in a varied grouping of congratulations before Plo Koon paused and looked at Ryl. " Amania is lost to us also, you know this? "
The Jedi Knight nodded his head in response to the Jedi High Council Member. " Yes. Two.... " He said, unspoken words being passed between himself and the Kel Dor before Ryl bowed then turned a light tap on Juna's shoulder as he did so. " May the Force be with you Masters. "
" May the Force be with both of you as well. "
Juna’s eyes lit at the idea of being able to actually obtain and maintain her very own star-fighter. That hadn’t even crossed her mind along with numerous other additional privileges that accompanied being a padawan. Of course with the addition of such came more expectations, those also evading her thoughts for now as the excitement of being a Jedi’s Padawan seemed much like being a farmer winning the local lottery. Lotteries were all random however, and this was nothing of the sort. This only testified that she might actually have what it takes to become one day a Jedi Knight. As congratulations were passed Juna wanted more than anything to exclaim her pleasure in this new position, a child like need to jump, clap her hands, squeal in delight, anything to express her near overwhelming joy being represented with a humble bow that brought both hands forward into clear view met just at her waist. She wanted to give thanks, to profusely do so in fact but remained silent and as stoic as a youth of her age could be in trying to mimic Ryl. Whether she accomplished her wishful demeanor or not she was unsure, but the thought had been there all the same. Already quite in tune with Master Mevek’s words and body language he barely had the need to tap her shoulder before she turned to quietly dismiss herself along with him.
Striding briskly from the chambers he looked down at Juna. " Very well." The guard offering her possessions back to her as they walked out. " Let us go meet with our traveling companions. Actually... " He stopped, looking her over. " There are some things I need to fetch you. " He looked at her thoughtfully, " A belt and some cold weather gear for where we're headed, as well as prepare a starfighter for you. " A belt and some cold weather gear for where we're headed, as well as prepare a starfighter for you. " Thoughtful he decided now was better than later. " I heard of the ship in launch pad 4 already, I assume that is them. Head there and let them know we're ready to take off. We'll be following in our own vessels, remember what the Council said about guarding your thoughts; just in case. " He reminded, his thoughts drifting towards what he had to do before they left. " That should be all... wait. " Half turn he stopped to look at her again, " Your last name, I forgot it... " He admitted. " What is it? "
So far she’d not proven disappointing. That in itself was a plus, he didn’t give her the expression of irritation and his tone was pleasant enough to nearly provoke a smile. He spoke and she stood mute, making good use of the choice phrase, silence is a virtue, even if she hadn’t always agreed with it in the past. Like anything new, be it a young pet from a shop, to a recently acquired lover, one never knew what they were fully getting themselves into until comfort zones were met and then tested. For now she was quiet and reserved, but after security in position and bonds between Jedi and Padawan were formed she would become more her usual self, lively, full of questions, and curious as ever. It nearly looked as if he spoke to himself though some words were directed at her in particular. More instructions were given and the young girl was equally fast in following them already turned to head towards the ship said to be in launch pad 4.
A question was asked and Juna stopped short, shoes making a rather alarming squeal of a sound against the floor. “Yes Master?” she said softly awaiting what was thought to be further command. He didn’t seem so tall from the distance separating them, she couldn’t help but take note of this wondering at the same time if she looked as small as she felt from where she stood.
“Ta’Evru, it is Ta’Evru,” twice she’d said it, the syllables running a twisted course over her tongue while she stood paused in motion pack in hand swinging playfully at her side. “Will that be all Master Mevek?”
" Ah, Ta'Evru. " Vague memory of having heard it once before when he'd tutored a couple of the Krakana clan's classes returned to him. " Carry on then. I'll see you shortly. " He smiled a little then turned headed to his task acting with as much haste as possible. Reflecting on all the Council had said to him.

An’ka felt her lekku twitch back and forth as Dek began to laugh after she spoke. Placing her hands on her hips, she turned and looked at him, her eyes wide as she felt a bit insulted at his laugh and at what he said. “It was actually quite easy, easier than you might expect, maybe one day I’ll tell you how I stole a Jedi ship and didn’t end up in chains.” She still wasn’t sure why he found the whole thing so comical, but apparently it was something that she just didn’t understand, it wouldn’t be the first time that she was left in the dark.
Stepping aboard the ship, she made her way back to where Dek had stored the weapons, picking up her own and taking them with her back to her quarters. It was probably not in her best interest to venture far away from the ship, at least not yet. Too many goody goodies around for her liking, and at this moment there was noone that she saw that would peak her interest, or help her in any way that she needed to be helped.
Her plan was simple, though she hadn’t told Dek quite all of it. Sitting down on the edge of her bed, she twisted the pike in her hand, jabbing it to the left and then the right before standing up and twisting it, her wrist moving back and forth and in a circle as she began to think in depth about what exactly she was going to do. Simply put, she was going to kill the ones that had seen her in chains, and she wasn’t going to stop until it was done completely.
Revenge was not something that she had ever thought all the way through, but when she had once again landed on Tattooine, it had all come flooding back to her. Everything that her father had done, the slaver he had given her too because of his complete ignorance. But they would get their dues, each and every last one of them, and she would watch as their blood spilled from their dying bodies.
Moving from her quarters, she took her pike with her, slipping through the ship and down to the landing pad. Leaning against her pike, she watched Dek for a moment, he was going to be very useful, very useful indeed, he just didn’t know it yet. She knew that he had a temper, she had seen it boil to the edge and in the end, it would be exactly what she needed to follow through with her plan.
Once blood was on his hands, he would see things her way. She could be very useful to him, if he would only realize it. But that was what it was going to take, blood, the blood of those he didn’t even know. Her eyes narrowed for a moment as she watched him, her rows of sharp teeth curving into a predatory smile as she kept watching, each lekku twitching, slowly back and forth, their meaning known only to her at this moment as she whispered under her breath.
“Hees azalus, tagwa.”

48 Hours Later
Sitting at the top of the ramp that led to the cargo hold of Serenity, Dek was doing some minor maintenance to his lightsaber and his blaster pistol. Mostly just cleaning, but also checking on the power regulators and circuitry to make sure that both were in perfect working order.
At some point this day, at least according the Jedi Masters of the council, Jedi would be coming by to join them. All of the shipments he had arranged had been delivered and since stowed in their proper places. Everything from food, to med supplies, some clothing, ship parts, and even weaponry for ‘Serenity’, had been brought.
A sigh escaped his lips though. Even though all the technical aspects of the coming journey had been seen to, he still felt uneasy. An’ka had been disturbingly quiet since they had touched down on the giant city Planet of Coruscant…quiet and a bit odd. A dark aura seemed to surround the Twi’lek of late, even more so then when he had first taken her on board his ship. Not for the first time, he was beginning to wonder about the wisdom of his actions back on that sandy planet. Well, there wasn’t much he could do about it now. He had given her his word, and Dek was, more often then not, a man of his word. It took extreme circumstances for him to go back on a vow.
Ceeta too had been rather quiet. But that was not unusual for the Ysanna tribesman. He was, quite literally, the strong silent type.
With a soft sigh, Dek runs his rag over the surface of his blaster pistol, wiping off prints and grime, leaving nothing but the clean metallic surface behind. It was at this point that he noticed a child approaching his ship. It was obvious that the child was a Jedi, a padawan by Dek’s guess, even though there was little evidence to point him to that fact…but enough.
Rising from his sitting position, he holsters his blaster on his hip so as not to startle the youngster, picking up his lightsaber and putting it to his belt as well. He waited for several moments, expecting actual Jedi to be following after the youngster, but as no one else joined the child, he moved down the ramp and a slow, easy pace.
“Is there something that you need youngling?” he asks in a calm voice that resonated with gentleness.

" Tantas... " The man quietly said, a former ExplorCorp member and failed Jedi yet happy where he was Bodal Tig was an inventory specialist for the Jedi Temple as well as a contact through them to the Judicial Forces of the Republic.
" Yeah. Tantas. " The Jedi replied.
" Outer-rims again eh, guess Galidraan wasn't enough for you. Well, I wouldn't suggest the Deltas then. I have a Tikiar for you. It's been waiting for someone to put it to use. Sleek, fast, has it's own hyperspace drive won't need a ring to assist you. I figure you going out that far you somewhat need that. "
Ryl nodded slowly trusting in the man's advice. " Only one? " He asked.
" Yeah just the one for now. Had some damage to it but that's fixed up. Should run like a champ. Need an astromech droid? "
" Probably. My last was blown to bits over a year ago. "
" Very well, I'll have them prepared. " The man turned away pushing down a button as he took up conversation with someone on the other end of the commo that he didn't bother to listen to. Lifting up the belt he had gathered up for Juna earlier, tipping it about to make sure it would suit her.
Himself knowing how important quality equipment. No need in completely inspecting it knowing the contents would be there consisting of a breather pouch, Hush-98 comlink, holoprojector (with an imagecaster and holomap), a light weight high tension cable with grappling hook, two leather tool and food pouches along with food and vitamin energy capsules. He tucked it under his arm along with the heavy cold weather robes and survival packs they needed. Nodding towards Tig. " Be seeing you. "
The man looked up from running his inventory and marking down changes, " The Force be with you Master Mevek. " The man responded returning instantly to work.
" You as well Bodal. "
Upon the launch pad Ryl would arrive as men would be carting out the Tikiar starfighter astromech droid already loaded into it, releasing a 'whirrr-beep-whee' upon spotting the humans it was assigned to. Seeing Juna he smiled abit and tossed her the belt; seeming careless in it's handling. Turning his gaze from the girl he caught sight of Anka memory thrusting her name back at him. The thief who stole Cryo's starfighter also the woman who was held prisoner with him during his last encounter with the Shades of Ringali; both alone adding some level of validation to what the Council had told him from her he began observing Taddio. As he was told he carried a saber and possessed the Force, those apparent unless the man was hiding either purposefully.
He did a quick bow. " Greetings. I've been assigned to you with my padawan. It seems we will all be traveling together. "
"I've been given authorization to allocate credits towards your account if you require payment for us being transported on your vessel. I think it would be best honestly, though if there is a problem with that my padawan and I can follow you in our own ship. "

Dek smiled down at the child as she responded. Oh yes, this one was definetly a jedi in training. His head tilted just a little, taking note of the Twi’lek that the youngling had been watching moments earlier. The way An’ka was skulking about was beginning to worry him.
“Well, you may tell your Master that my ship and myself are ready to go.” He didn’t want to assume that the child would be coming along, so he merely left her out for the time being. “When will Master Mevek be joining us…” Dek paused, his voice and words indicating that he wanted her to speak her name.
But then, even as he asked his question, he could see a fighter being wheeled out of a hangar. His eyes narrowed, only for a moment, as he straightened up to get a better look. It appeared to be a Tikiar Starfighter, at least from this distance. But what had his attention was the approaching male who had the immistakable gait of a Jedi Knight. Shifting is gaze back to the child, he smiles softly and indicates the Jedi.
In a place like this, Dek stuck out like a sore thumb among the more traditionally garbed Jedi. A pair of black pants graced his legs, with a pair of black boots. A simple belt of brown wrapped around his hips, holding the holster for his blaster, a small leather pouch for supplies, and a hook for his lightsaber. A simple off white tunic was draped over his chest, the long sleeves falling down to his wrists where a simple bracelet hung from the right, and the device to control his ship on the left.
Forestalling until the Jedi Knight, at least he assumed the man to be of that rank, joined them, Dek nods his head to him.
“You must be Mevek.” He began, “I’m Captain Taddio Tara’dek.”
Listening to the words spoken by the Knight, he nodded his head several times. He didn’t really need to be paid, but being a businessman, he understood the importance of finances, and that it might just take everything he had to complete this ‘mission’.
“Completely understandable. I don’t really require payment, but I wouldn’t be apposed to having some extra funds added in until this is all accomplished in case we find ourselves in need of supplies again. You and your padawan are more then welcome aboard ‘Serenity’. I’m assuming that they two of you will be sharing a room, but I can arrange for the room to be divided, if required.”
Unfortunately, ‘Serenity’ was a luxury Yacht more then anything. The quarters that were there were rather large for a space vessel, designed for comfort and luxury first and foremost. Dek had, however, modified all of the quarters, except for his own, to be subdivided by adding simple walls…similar to what had been used to pen in Ceeta’s beastly friend.
“All I need is to fire the ship up, and we can go. Will you be bringing yon starfighter along?”

An'ka kept her perch, seeing movement out of the corner of her eye, her hand tightening around her pike until she saw the form of the small child. Seeing the smile from her, she grinned the same predatory grin upon her lips. These young ones were adept at sensing things, this much she knew, of course, it was one of the reasons she kept mostly to herself, the ones that used the all powerful Force, they came to know too much, whether they were good or bad. Her eyes moved back to Dek, focused as he moved from where he was, her eyes looking back and fro between the two, her head tipping as she tried to listen, to what was being said.
Hearing the name the young one spoke, she thought for a moment, knowing it sounded familiar to her, but where, where had she heard that name before. Tapping a finger on her lip, she thought and thought, her eyes becoming wide as she saw the man come into view. She never had thought that she would see him again, he was the one that had helped her when she was being held prisoner, he had helped her to escape and had her brought here, and that was when she stole the Jedi ship and made her way to Tattooine. This was not a good sign, at least not in her mind it wasn't.
Stepping more into view, she listened to the conversation between the Jedi and Dek, her smile all but disappearing as she heard that they were going to be joining them on the journey. Finding it an appropriate time to move, she walked over to where Dek was, standing next to him as she heard him speak of the two joining them. Leaning over she whispered in his ear "Oto tah bolla." Wrapping a hand around his arm, she squeezed, softly, her eyes not leaving the Jedi in front of her.
He would no doubt recognize her, he had after all helped her when she needed it, but she was sure that he also knew that she had stolen a ship from here. Speaking directly to him, she felt the ends of her tchin and tchun twitch slowly. "Chuba, hopa, je tagwa?" Pointing to the young one, she decided to change the subject for as long as she could "Coo sa da wanga, un Jedai?" There really was no more that she could do, what would be done would be done, and if she was to be seen back in chains, that would only fuel her anger and want for revenge more than what it was now. An'ka attempted to keep a calm facade as she shifted back and forth on her feet, waiting now for whatever was to come.
