Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me. ~The Sith Code Origins
Thousands of years before the Empire dominated the galaxy, a renegade group of Jedi challenged the Masters of their Order for the freedom to explore the dark side. When they were refused, defeated, and finally forced into exile, they crossed the galaxy to find a place where they could live and learn as they chose without the interference of the Jedi Order. They came at last to a planet inhabited by a barely civilized people who called themselves the Sith. The primitive, superstitious Sith, seeing these visitors fror the stars, declared the outcasts The creators and promptly devoted themselves to worshiping their new masters For thousands of years the renegade Jedi ruled the Sith, expanding their empire to include nearby worlds, though they managed to avoid contact with their ancient enemies. Through continued campaign of conquest they honed their battle arts, while simultaneously adding to the fortune and glory of their empire. When they ran out of foes, they fought among themselves in bloody wars of succession. After another thousand years, the Sith Empire was danger ously close to extinction through self-annihilation. Finally, after the death of the infamous Lord of the Sith, Marka Ragnos, a Republic scout ship stumbled onto the Sith necropolis world of Koriban. This single accident of hyperspace travel set off a chain o events that would eventually see the Sith return to nearly conquer the Old Republic-and planted the seeds for the return of the Sith. So begins the Sith...

As of 32 BBY... (End of a Golden Age era)
The Return of the Sith
After centuries of quiet plotting, the time finally for the Sith to return to their rightful place as rulers the galaxy. Careful manipulation of the tradition-bound Republic allowed the current Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, to infiltrate a Senate weakened by corruption and apathy, and to slowly undermine public confidence the Jedi Order. The first, most telling blow came when the Trade Federation blockaded the small world of Naboo. In the ensuing battle for control of the planet, Sith warrior appeared for the first time in a thousand years. This Sith, Darth Maul, slew Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn-reminding the complacent Jedi that they were not the only Force wielders in the galaxy.
Suddenly, the Jedi had a new enemy to fear.
As of 19 BBY... (Rise and Fall of the Empire era)
The New Order
With the rise of Senator Palpatine to the position of Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Senate, the stage was set for the cruel tyranny of the Galactic Empire. The Jedi disappeared, replaced as a peacekeeping force by the new Imperial stormtroopers. Planets were bombarded. Entire cultures were exterminated. The Emperor's vaunted "New Order" suddenly seemed a bleak and terrible blight on the freedom of the galaxy.
As the last fragments of the Senate were ground under the Emperor's iron fist, systems began to rise up against the Empire, paving the way for the Alliance to Restore the Republic-the Rebel Alliance. Unknown to the Rebels, the Emperor had already laid the groundwork for the perpetual rule of his New Order. He had turned a Jedi into his new dark apprentice, the terrifying Darth Vader. Vader himself trained apprentices. And the Emperor created a corps of loyal, Force-skilled minions to maintain his rule.
Most powerful of all, of course, was the Emperor himself

Sith are powerful dark side Force users bent on the destruction of the Jedi. Known for their cruel ways and ambitious drive towards power their 'Order' is almost a complete mockery in it's beliefs and methods then that of the Jedi. They embrace the Dark side where as the Jedi fight it.
Their philosphy emphasizes conflict. They believe in strength and power, the strong survive and the weak fall or serve. They believe that through this train of thought they can reach a form of perfection. A predator and prey mantality. Sith of course being the predators everyone else was prey. Morals are an obsticale in the path of perfection and power, one that is to be overcome and surpased.
The heart of their power comes from emotion. Passion, anger, fear, emotions and feelings Jedi are taught and expected to overcome. To avoid and to fight giving into. Sith embrace these emotions instead of supress. Through them they find power; and the quickest way to power is of course the Dark side.
Perhaps the only 'forbidden' emotion for both Sith and Jedi which is curious, is that of love. The SIth see it as a weakness which leads to mercy, and the Jedi see it as a gateway to the Dark side a temptation that leads to greater passions and dangers.

Organization
For the sake of R.P. during the End of a Golden Age the Sith exist. An Order apart from Darth Bane's rule of two (which consists of Darth Sidious and Darth Maul as Master and Apprentice) exists.
This Order lays in hiding (their conclave is located somewhere in the Metharian Nebula Territories presumed Tantras Sector on Tantra itself below the ice covered surface) and numbers around six (once 9) 'Sith Lords' beneath them serve a large extended group of Dark-siders who would all themselves call one another Sith yet are truly nothing more than Dark Side Adepts. The Sith Lords in power each equal to that of Maul or Vader not Sidious though their areas of knowledge and ability combined they excel in different areas making each and every one of them a threat stylizing themselves as 9 The creators.
Darth Tempus, Darth Demens, Darth Calamite, Darth Solum, Darth Raviner, Darth Umbral, Darth Phantos, Darth Kanis and Darth Retalus .
**Cryo Sjame's former and deceased Master Zorl K'tat was a member of this Order she was said to be the 7th of the 9 Sith Lords. Aptly named the Lady of Shadows - Darth Umbral. **Massan Jy'Ket was the 9th of 9 Sith Lords of this Order; a Bladeborn taught by the Holocron's Spirit everything it could of Sith combat techniques. He was called the Wolf Lord - Darth Kanis.
They work hidden as do all Sith of the era, not hiding from the Jedi as so much as they do the presence of Sidious which they feel yet cannot pinpoint. Though either one they avoid contact with knowing full well it would lead to their eradication.
Instead working in stealth, subterfuge and sticking to the outer-rim territories; bidding their time.
Every one of them is covered in 'tattoos' which are marks of their loyalty and devotion to the Order (these come in reds and blacks etched in with runic like symbols). Very few Darksiders are taught any real Sith secrets by their Lords due to fear and in-fighting so the extent of their knowledge remains limited. The title Sith for them being exactly that only a title. True Siths with actual knowledge of the Sith ways remaining limited to the six once nine 'Lords', Maul, Sidious and Vader.
Another distinctive feature of the Sith is the color black. Usually all wear this as symbolic to their affiliation to the Dark Side a contrast to the Jedi's more peaceful browns, whites and tans.
This also goes for red lightsabers. Although the 4th Sith Empire seems to prefer vibro weapons and alchemy blades created by the 'Lords' over sabers.
The 4th Sith Empire works in the following
Sith Lord (which there are six; there was once nine) which is really "Sith Apprentice" (powerwise the true Sith Lord is the Holocron's Dark Spirit) : All of these powerful Darksiders have been trained under the guidance of a discovered Sith Holocron. Everyone of them Darksiders who were once Jedi, Force Adepts or other Darksiders trained secret knowledge of the ancient Sith.
Dark Side Marauder title themselves "Sith Warrior" Dark Side Assassin title themselves "Sith Assassin" Dark Side Devotee title themselves "Sith Acolyte"
Sith Minion: lowest members of the Sith, some where not even Force-sensitive. They tend to worship the Sith and work as soldiers, mercenaries and canon-fodder for the "Sith".
Where as the True Sith Order is as follows
Sith Lord (Lord Sidious) Sith Apprentice (Vader or Maul) Dark Side Adepts (Emperor's Hands, Prophets, Inquistors, Dark Jedi and Royal Guard)

Creating a Sith for the 4th Empire
Base character can be anything that is Force Sensitive.
Selected from DS Assassin, DS Devotee, DS Marauder, Force Adept or even a Fallen Jedi.
These 'tainted' characters have three or more Dark Side powers or have committed enough evil acts to open them to it. If they're not already tainted and they give themselves into the Sith Empire willingly they automatically become so.
'Tainted' characters are those who possess three or more Dark Side powers. For them the Light Side becomes harder to harness and draw upon even losing the ability to use 1 of their powers in the process, but the Dark Side powers are considered even stronger; working faster and more powerfully even easier to access newer ones granting an instant 1 more power in exchange for the 1 Light lost. Even if they do not have a Light-side power to lose they still gain another.
These 'Tainted' can sense Dark emotions in others naturally. An almost automatic empathy of sorts that allows them to sense the Dark-side around them and in other beings.
Base occupation (see Character Creation section) is selected then 1 more Dark Side power is awarded (sometimes more than 1 power is awarded depending on S.T.'s approval). Along with 'tattoos' this power can be taught or learned on their own. Usually it is taught as the character swears their allegiance to one of the six Sith Lords.
(There is no way of becoming a Sith through Paplatine or Vader - only a Dark Side Adept)
