Nameless Hate:
The Sith found himself distracted by a new voice. His eyes slitting to look over at Anka. “I’ll go, tell us what is so important that I might be useful to tag along, another grand scheme no doubt, and who is to be the fearless leader, you?” Ringing through his ears. The smile he wore seeming to twitch across his mouth. Sharp needle like teeth showing underneath.
" Another grand scheme? Whatever do you speak of my dear... this. " He motioned around them, brows rising upwards under the hood he wore quizically. " This here was nothing of a scheme. As to a leader, why no. An employer. There is a difference there. " Instantly he changed strides with his voice. Talking once more to Taddio as if brushing the twi'lek off. Zyg wasn't one to look at non-force users as much more then cattle. Though he tended to do the same with everyone, tools, pawns, playthings.
This man Taddio interested him though, he seen further uses for him and was intending to get them. Though if he would change from this upcoming... 'task' would yet to be seen. A coy smile replaced the somewhat twisted one he was wearing, " Escort me back to my home, help us unlock the holocron. That is all. " There was more to it though. Yet Taddio, nor Anka needed to know such things. Dealing with ancient Sith was never without its dangers.
Jy'Ket had wasted no time, he was already vanishing over the dunes. The sound of the speeder sweeping off distracting Zyg for a moment, turning his head to watch before he examined the two. " We had best catch up, he is not one to wait for long. " Heading to one of the abandoned swoop bikes he started it up, looking abit akward at first before getting it off the ground in a shaky dip. Seemingly unaccustomed to driving himself about.
Taddio Tara’dek:
A smile began to form on his lips as Zyg turned and spoke to Anka. Oh yes, this one had a lot to hide, and even if he bothered to explain what it was that he wanted them for, it was unlikely that it would be the whole truth. It was Dek’s experience that simple jobs usually turned out to be the most complicated.
“Why a Sith would need protection is beyond me, but it’s also none of my concern. I cannot speak for Anka, but I intend to return with you to receive my full payment, and to deliver the crystals as was promised. Once those are done and dealt with, and then perhaps you can persuade me into doing more for you. Fair enough?” He asked of Zyg, his demeanor very business like, but pleasant as well.
He watched as Zyg walked away and hopped onto the bike. He was really starting to get a bad feeling about everything that was going on. He turns and looks at Anka, and unwitting player in all of this. A light smirk forms on his lips as he looks at the Twi’lek, so much like all the other slave girls he had seen in the pens. Just like so many slaves he had seen in his years as one himself, and during his years of freedom. He did have to admit that she was very beautiful, but beauty was a superfluous thing that meant very little to him. Strong convictions and a good heart were the only things that meant much of anything to him anymore.
Which side of the fence Anka sat on, that was still unknown to him. “A bit more then you were expecting when you made a deal with the devil, isn’t it?” He said, still wearing that smirk, “I won’t lie. I have no idea what lay’s ahead of us, but I doubt it will be as simple as what he makes it out to be. Though, I’m sure you already deduced as much yourself.” He starts walking towards the remaining speeder and the swoop bikes, figuring that they would be a lot faster then walking.
“What I don’t get is what their angle is.” Dek muses to himself. Normally he could read people pretty well, but these Sith were not very easy to read at all. “If this item is so difficult to open, why would they need the help of a half assed Force user if they cannot do it themselves. Unless…” He pauses, looking towards Anka, “Maybe they need a couple of guinea pigs to sacrifice.” It was anything but a pleasant thought. Still, if they wanted them dead, they could have done so already and made it look as though it had been done by the mercenaries.
“Well, we better get moving before they get anxious. Do you know how to use any of these?” He asks of the Twi’lek before choosing what to take, needing to know whether she could take care of herself, or whether he needed to take her with him on whatever he took. It wasn’t a condescending question really, more one of practicality, though women of all races seemed to take offense to men asking questions of their abilities. Go figure. While he waited for her answer, he flashed his lightsaber to life, and then adjusted a few things on the handle, the blades length moving accordingly. It’s purple color glowing across the planes of his face, illuminating and slightly changing the color of his emerald eyes.
He hoped that she knew how to pilot at least the speeder, because he had a notion to take one of these swoop bikes, or two, and keep them for future use aboard ‘Serenity’. More then once, on a job, he had wished he had a smaller vehicle for getting around. He had a rather large space for smaller ships to dock with his that would be perfect for keeping them, and maybe a few others. Powering down his lightsaber, he puts it back on his belt, more then ready to take off after his ‘employer’.
Anka:
Scoffing as the man Zyg started to speak to her, Anka looked him over, and just shook her head. There was something about him that just didn’t sit right, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. He was probably about as trustworthy as a snake, but for now she would have to deal with him and the other man she was stuck here with. “I suppose employer does sound better, I doubt either of you could lead anyone anywhere.”
Anka shifted on her feet as Zyg talked to Dek, listening to him carefully as he spoke of this next task. She didn’t have to go and she knew that she didn’t but if she was to get payment for what she had done here, she didn’t figure that she had a choice in the matter.
As he headed off for the speeder, she turned and looked at Dek, “Well I guess it’s just the two of us then.” Looking over the contraptions, she sighed and held her hands on her hips, she had no idea how to drive anything like either one of them and really didn’t want to have to learn how to.
As he stared back at her, Anka moved her hand and placed a finger on Dek’s chest, pushing him just a bit “I told you before it’s not nice to stare.” Her lekku twitched slowly back and forth, the tips moving back and forth in slow motions, he may know her language, but this was one thing that he wouldn’t be able to decipher. Shrugging her shoulders she spoke to him harshly “I made no deal with anyone. Try to prove otherwise.”
“I don’t know why they want us, I don’t care why they want us, I just want to get out of here, and if they are the ones leading the way, then there really isn’t much choice in the matter. I’ll get my payment one way or another.” Looking over the modes of transportation again, Anka shook her head as she gathered her pike and slipped her blaster back into her waistband. “No I don’t know how to use either, so I guess it’s up to you isn’t it.”

Nameless Hate:
No response would come back to either of the two left behind. Zyg, as well as the Masterblade Sith were already rounding on Mos Eisley, the trip back without problem.
Inside the they would be waiting for the two who had fallen behind. Zyg below underneath his 'palace' already preparing for what was to come. Jy'Ket guarding the holocron upstairs in the same area Taddio had initially met him. Artifact clutched in his long pale fingered hand tightly, as if he felt the very wind would steal it from him. He didn't trust the other Sith, didn't know what he had on his agenda beyond opening the holocron but it left him feeling at ease, one hand never hovering far from his weapons. Ready to cut down the snake of a man. He was waiting to play his part further into it, hoping he was not making a mistake. Though knowing if so... he wouldn't be the one in pain. It was not his way to suffer, only to cause suffering.
A servant was left outside, one who would lead Taddio and Anka inside, past the Wolf and below. Into the depths of Zyg's hide-away. Below would be a round room, shaped neatly around a small dias. Dimly lit and carved straight from the earth.
Zyg and two more of his servants would be waiting there as well. Blasters concealed underneath robes. The whole get up looking like some gaudy archaic ritual. Which... it more or less was. Only several components seeming to be missing.
Taddio Tara’dek:
He looked at her, directly at her, as she addressed him in that irritating matter. Then, as she had the audacity to touch him, to actually poke him, he gave a little growl at her. “Its not nice to poke. As a matter of fact, its downright rude since I cannot return the gesture without offending you.” He says, his eyes pointedly lowering to look upon her chest, though by the looks in his eyes it wasn’t out of any lust.
Hearing her continue, he just shrugs his shoulders, not the least bit concerned with what deals she may, or may not, have done. Offhandedly, he adds, “Yes, well, if you did, I doubt you will be getting anything out of it now.” He chuckles softly, finally finding some amusement out of the entire thing.
When she finally said what he suspected all along, that she didn’t know how to actually drive any of the vehicles on hand. Without another moments hesitation, he climbs onto the bike and pats the seat behind him. It wouldn’t be the most comfortable ride, as they were certainly not built for two riders, but it would suffice to get them both in town. As soon as she mounted up behind him, he shifted in the seat to make it a little bit more comfortable for them both.
“Hang on.” He spoke, giving her only a few moments before powering the vehicle up. It was a little clumsy, at first, bit within moments he had it flying across the sandy dunes. He could feel Anka tight against his back, and he smirks, knowing that it must be galling to her to be so close to him. Good, she needed a little humility, to say the least.
The trip didn’t take very long. Quite a bit less then the walk to get out there in the first place. He still didn’t like any of this, and Zyg had certainly made it so that he had no choice but to participate, since he had yet to arrange for his payment. And, as they rounded a bend and the minion standing outside the door came into sight, he liked it even less. With a flick of his wrist, he powers the bike down and slides it, blowing up a cloud of dust that hung in the air and lingered.
He gave Anka a look over his shoulder, feeling her get up from the bike. He wasted no time, getting off himself. With another smirk, he looks at Anka, “I could get used to having you around. You certainly feel better against my back, that’s for sure.” He gives her a playful wink before turning on his foot and walking right past the man beside the door and into the building itself, his eyes finding the white haired Sith. He also noted the presence of the holocron in his hands, protectively kept and away from all but himself.
Smirking, he hears the man he had passed on the way in speaking rather flustered and indignant that Dek hadn’t waited for him. “Oh, I’m sorry, was I supposed to wait? I thought I had an open invitation to this costume party.” Dek gives an offhanded smile to the man, giving a little stretch as he waited for Anka to join him.
Anka:
As they fled across the desert on the speeder, Anka held on tight to Dek, not because she wanted to, but only because she had to. She wasn’t sure of their destination, but she still had the feeling that whatever it was, it wasn’t going to be good. As Dek spoke to her, she hopped off of the speeder, looking back at him “Don’t get used to it, it’s not something that you’ll be feeling again.”
Anka followed behind Dek, looking about at their new surroundings, her eyes watching the white-haired man, she still didn’t think that she had ever heard his name, but at this point, she didn’t really think that it mattered much.
Since Dek seemed to know where they were supposed to be going, she just continued to follow him, not paying much attention to the other that they had passed by. When they reached the round room, Anka looked around, it reminded her of home, of the caves that her family had lived in, and in some ways it was almost a perfect replication.
Lifting her eyes, she looked to the ones in the robes, recognizing the one of course as the other man from the desert. “Soong goola.” Anka’s hand shot out in front of her, gripping Dek on the shoulder as she shifted on her feet, having no clue what to expect and thinking perhaps he had been right.
Nameless Hate:
The 'escort' took them below to where Zyg was in the cavernous underbelly of the building Jy'ket peeled off from where he was to trail almost directly behind them. By no means looking as though he would let them turn around and head the way back out. His lips set in a thin bloodless line, eyes locked foreward seeming to be looking at them yet through them. To him, they were nothing, meat, tools, useless. A weak force user, and a deranged twi'lek whore. Creatures that in the end would be turned once more into slaves under the foot of the New Sith Empire. One he would be a general to the armies of... this would be his stepping stone to glory, to recognition. Already he had killed more than his fair share, Jedi and other Sith alike earning his rank of Masterblade, his title the Wolf. It was not enough...
This was the only way, the Sith Lords were powerful, ancient and knowledgable. They had everything planned. They would recognize the bladeborne, the Sith Weaponmaster, as more than just a weapon of destruction, an instrument of chaos, an expendable tool. He would rise to Sith Lord. Greed, ambition, power, cunning all were his. They would see this. Kouth and Zassresh were ment to die here, that was why they were sent. They jeopardized the mission that was set forth, it had even Jy'Ket wondering if he was sent here as well to die. Perhaps Zyg was ment to be his executioner.
Turning as they entered Zyg offered a quick to appear smile. Sharp needlepoint teeth displayed, " Welcome good lady and gentlemen. If you would be so kind as to set the holocron upon the stone Jy'Ket..." The other dark sider stood motionless for a second before pulling the artifact free placing it upon the dias. Stepping back, hands limp at his sides looking as though the energy from them had drained, though his body seemed to sway slightly, lifting from the ball of one foot to the other as if wanting to move, to expell excess energy, or to simply stay limber and nimble just incase he had to draw blades upon someone here.
Zyg looked pleased at the compliance, something unspoken behind his eyes passing through them. He tipped his head off to the side, looking levely at Taddio, ignoring the presence of Anka. " Now... you will do as you were ment to come here and do Dek... " he slurred out the man's name purposely, motioning behind him. " Open the holocron." Clicks, were audible. Safety latches on blasters releasing, fingers hovering above triggers. One man behind them that led them below, the two off to the sides of the chamber.

Taddio Tara’dek:
He heard, and felt, Anka behind him, but he was focused on the white haired Sith. It suddenly felt more like a prison then a place of business, which only added to his unease. His nerves, however, took a sharp backseat to reality. He had seen first hand the ability of the white haired Sith to use his vibro-sword, and quite frankly he had no desire to tangle with it.
The trip down was rather swift as the men all but pushed them in their hurry, and when they stepped past the threshold and into the chamber below, he understood why. Zyg looked completely different, and for the first time ever, Dek was beginning to think that he had been mistaken about who had been the more powerful. Zyg seemed to be in a whole different league down here.
As the plan was laid out before them, and the holocron was laid upon what appeared to be an altar, Dek turned his head to look at Anka. For the life of him, he had no idea why they had insisted that she come along, unless…unless they intended to kill her when this was all over, and it was easier to trick her into coming along. While he felt sorry for her, she wasn’t his main concern at the moment. He would like to protect her, in some way, but if he were dead, she would most likely follow him without so much as a tear shed from any of the men here.
Dozens of questions fly through his head, the first and foremost was why he was meant to open this holocron? Surely these Sith were far more powerful then he was. He supposed that it meant that it had to be someone that was familiar with the Force, and that they had no idea what would happen when it was opened. It still didn’t explain Anka’s presence, but again, that had to be a secondary concern.
Never one to be afraid, Dek takes a few steps forward towards the holocron, his ears picking up the clicks of the blasters, and the shuffle of feet preparing to put their owners into readiness. He had half a notion to make a bargain…his compliance for the Twi’lek’s life. It died in his mind, though, as he realized that they would never honor any bargain he made, particularly if he died.
Realizing then, at that moment, that he had no choice, Dek closed his eyes and reached his hand forward. The holocron itself seemed to come alive as his hand moved to within a foot of it. An inner light seemed to flare, and immediately he could feel a pull towards it. His eyes glazed as all thought left him, only the desire to touch this object consumed his thoughts. Deeper in his mind, memories were released, memories that reveal much…when this was all over.
The holocron itself lifted from its resting place, though whether it did it under its own power, or if Dek was using his powers of the Force to lift it is unclear. In his head, Dek could hear the item speaking to him, “It’s about damned time, pick me up.” It screamed into his thoughts. Dek hesitated, but only for a moment, as his conscious mind resisted the compulsion, his hand shaking as he moved closer, his fingers just barely touching the item. And then, it was over.
The holocron flashed brightly only once, as his fingers curled around it and picked the item up, then died down. Dek stood there, holding the holocron as if he had no idea what it was. “What th…” He starts to say, his eyes still glazed over…his body seems to suddenly grow weak, his knees shaking, until finally he drops straight down, landing on his knees with only the altar supporting him. He screams out in pain, and the faint scent of burnt flesh filling the room.
Anka:
Anka glanced around, as the two of them seemed to become surrounded by the others that were there within the carved out room. Looking to the man Zyg as he spoke, she just stared but said no more, it wasn’t as if they had a choice of whether or not they were to be there. When he spoke to the white haired man, she finally heard his name, hearing it slip from her lips as she whispered behind Dek.
It wasn’t quite as obvious as to why she was there when Zyg spoke to Dek again, telling him that he had to open the holocron . Anka’s eyes darted from side to side as she heard the clicks of the blasters, deciding it best now to just stay still and not make any sudden moves on any of them unless she wanted to be laying in a pool of blood on the floor.
Thoughts began to run through her mind, she began to wonder why they had brought her here at all, why she had to be any part of this. Turning at the waist, she looked to the men on the sides and in the back of her, knowing that she wasn’t going to be going anywhere any time soon. She figured if she was going to die, at least this place reminded her of home.
Watching Dek as he moved towards the alter that held the holocron that seemed to be so dear to all of them, she stood still, only shifting back and forth on her feet as she began to feel more and more uncomfortable. All of these men, so powerful here, but what was so special about Dek, why did he have to be the one to open this thing. If they were so powerful with the Force, then why didn’t they do it themselves.
Another unanswered question as she continued to watch, her eyes widening and a soft gasp coming from her lips as he hit his knees. Moving her hand, she covered her eyes as the light flashed brightly about the room, blinking heavily only to see him now on still in front of the alter, the smell of burning flesh filling the room with his scream.
Her eyes moved quickly from one to the other, from Zyg to Jy’Ket, her lekku twitching back and forth almost uncontrollably as she began to visibly shake. “Please don’t kill me, I’ll do anything you want.”
Nameless Hate:
The holocron released a hum the light came forth once more. Hovering above Dek and the artifact was now a figure, broad shouldered, not human enough looking to be called human, yet not so far off that it couldn't be called one, it wore an archaic hat that coned at the top. Its beard was a stringy mass of tendrils, lips twisted back over sharp teeth. Each finger ended in tipped claws, whirling around the room once it settled on just hovering above Dek, bending at the torso.
" This is the one who awoken me? Weakling... all of you weak, I smell the fear in here. " It moved around again, as if tethered in place by the holocron. Setting its dark gaze upon Zyg and then Jy'Ket. " Ahhh those who would call themselves Sith, fake... weaklings... the whole lot of you. " It spat the words out as it then shifted blurring in and out looking as if it was struggling to fear itself.
Zyg suddenly spoke foreward. " Sith Lord Novak Tothl, we are but humble servants to the Sith Lords of our time, we seek only your guidance and help. "
A laughter rose from the Sith Spectre, causing its voice to boom across the small underground chamber. " What Sith was ever ment to be humble? Fools... " It spat forth.
" Alot of talk from a ghost who has already been defeated. " Jy'Ket sneered. Arms akimbo shoulders back against the rough stone hewn wall.
The disembodied Lord Tothl seemed to take in the Wolf as though he were no seen, the smile it wore growing across its lips. " The Jedi... I feel they still exist. their blood is upon you... " It looked as though it was thinking, "
" Lord Tothl, we must not speak further of this here... " Zyg said as his head then rose chin upwards to gaze towards the Sith Lord. Eyes flickering towards Dek and Anka.
The Wolf lowered his eyes to them as well, " Lets kill them now. They're useless to us now. " He never really seen the use of the Twi'lek, the other he knew was required to open the holocron...
Zyg shook his head slighty, " No... take them above and have them wait. I still have more plans for them. " Jy'Ket grunted. Attention shifting towards the undead Sith. Who was hovering, silent, looking as if it was far away. Which it was, currently it was using its Force abilities to explore the galaxy, to see what these new times had to offer him.
" Bring them upstairs. They so much as flinch... kill them both. " Cold, devoid of smiles and laughter, or even the hint of friendliness fake or not Zyg spoke. He did have designs for them, ones far less comfortable then just helping him out with awakening ancient Sith, killing Jedi and their followers, or transporting goods. Waving off the three men who were crowded around silent, they all in turn peeled from the walls moving towards Dek and Anka. " Get a move on. " The nearest ordered, his voice altered with a rebreather.

Taddio Tara’dek:
Kneeling there on the ground, memories flashed through his head. Memories of this very holocron, of the Echani that he had called Master working all sorts of Force inspired spells and ceremonies on his small body. “Lord Tothl.” He whispers, hearing the other Force users in the room addressing the spirit hovering nearby. Weak…that was a word that he was all too familiar with. His Master had called him weak all the time. No, more precisely, he kept telling him that he would become weak, that his very spirit was needed for what he was doing.
Even though he could hear everything that was going on in the room, he was stuck so deeply in the memories of that past that had been suppressed that he couldn’t do anything about it. And try as he might, he just couldn’t break the cycle of memories long enough to move.
Things were starting to piece together though, and as it sped up, he began to come out of his trance. Dek wasn’t just meant to open the Holocron, he had been groomed to be a living holocron, of sorts. At the time of his training, he had been kept weak, his powers in the Force purposefully kept down so that the spirit held within the Holocron could more easily take over control of his body. Many years had passed since then, and while his powers in the Force hadn’t really increased much, his self-will had become strong. And by sheer will power, he puts his hands to the ground and forces himself to rise. Once on his feet.
Finally finding his voice, as Tothls ‘mind’ was elsewhere, Dek speaks. “You might as well just speak of what you want, it is…” Dek pauses to look directly at Zyg, “…as Zyg said best. ‘What I was meant to do.’” His voice was a bit halting as he spoke, but with each word, it grew stronger.
His voice held a lot more confidence then it had before, perhaps augmented by the pure malevolence of Tothl, or perhaps simply by the knowledge that he held something that they wanted. The effigy of Tothl turned to regard Dek, a scowl across his lips. “You’re the vessel my worthless apprentice was training for my reincarnation?” Disdain thick in his voice.
“Apparently.” Dek responded with equal disdain. Why his former Master had sold him didn’t make much sense, unless perhaps he had failed somehow and he had wanted to be rid of Dek to hide it. “Look, I’m not any happier about this then you are.” Dek spits out, more to Tothl then anyone, but his words were also meant for Zyg and the others.
But then it clicked, his memories and what was going on. Dek wasn’t Tothls vessel, he was only the key to the holocron. But his former Master had indeed failed, and had made Dek useless as a vessel. But everything else that had been instilled into Dek, including the key to the holocron, had remained. Dek’s Former Sith Master had thought him useless, and had merely dumped him off into slavers hands, assuming that all will would be ripped from him, and his failure would disappear.
This meant, though, that Dek was needed. Without Dek, the Holocron would go dark once more, and it would be as it had been before. And to prove his point, as much to himself as to his seeming captors, Dek holds his hand out, willing the Holocron to him, and within moments…before it even touches his hand…it goes dead. Even as the men moved behind them with the intentions of making them move.
So, it was true. His life force was connected to this holocron, just as he had seen in his memories that it had awakened. That gave him some power, some leverage. More memories were awakening within his mind, memories of his Master’s sanctuary, the place where he had spent most of his youth locked up. He also remembered that he wasn’t the only failed experiment that came from his former Master’s research. But failed or not, some of them had actually showed promise, just not on the level that had been acceptable to the Sith Echani.
Ignoring the men and their blasters, Dek starts walking towards the stairs. He figured that Anka would follow on her own, so he didn’t feel like belittling her by waving for her to follow. Instead he just walked upstairs behind Zyg, his eyes moving back and forth as they moved, taking in their surroundings.
As they rose above the level of the floor, Dek could feel the insistence of Tothl inside the holocron to be let free once more. He had no desire to die, not here, not in this place. He had absolutely no idea what these Sith had in store for him, but he hardly felt like playing a living remote for this Holocron, and the Sith spirit within. There had to be a more permanent solution hiding within his former Masters old Sanctuary. He knew for a fact that it remained untouched after the battle that had taken place within it years ago.
Looking to Zyg, the obviously more reasonable of the two, he speaks once more. “I have a deal for you. You want to access this Holocron, correct? Your partner there wants rid of me, correct? Well I happen to know where there is an old Sith stronghold that has tons of technology, not to mention weapons, that just so happens to be the sanctuary to the Echani that trained me.” To Dek’s reasoning, it was a perfect solution for everyone. He’d lead them to the sanctuary, they’d find the droid that would allow them to place the Holocron inside and thus give them access to all of its data, and he could finally be rid of this whole situation.
Anka:
Eyes widened as the holocron sprang to life and the semi human looking form emerged. Taking a step back, Anka looked around, there was of course no where for her to go, less she got shot in the back like some common dog in the street. She watched this being intently as it began to speak, the fear the she knew he could sense rising in her own body already, she wasn’t sure whether to scream or to stay silent, choosing the latter so she didn’t bring too much attention to herself.
As she heard Zyg speak, she had to wonder what other plans he had in store for them and suddenly she really didn’t want to know. All she could do was turn and follow Dek as they were being led upstairs; she had no clue if she could trust him now anymore than she trusted the others. The others of course would kill her when this was all over, and if Dek was meant for more, there wouldn’t be anything he could do to stop them.
Reaching the next level, Anka stood by Dek and listened as he spoke to Zyg, maybe she did need to trust him after all. She didn’t have many options now. Shaking her head, she shifted on her feet nervously as she waited for Zyg to respond to Dek’s offer. Whispering under her breath, she clasped her hands together as she looked around at where they had ended up.
“I should have stayed with the Jedi.”
Nameless Hate:
Zyg opened up his hand. Telekinetically the Holocron lifted and yanked free of Dek's grasp neatly floating to his own hand. His eyes study the object thoughtfully ignoring Dek as he spoke.
Tothl had vanished receding back inside of the artifact. " You're mistaken Dek, you were only needed to awaken it. Noone controls a holocron. None of us wished to be stricken dead by the spirit within had we awoken it, or get possessed. You on the other hand are so weak in the Force if you were possessed... well. " He motioned with a tip of his head towards Jy'Ket. " You would have been delt with rather quickly. This I assume your Master knew. He was probably after this very same holocron. "
" As far as the Sith stronghold. Well, you'll tell us no matter what. Your bargianing rights have been forrfeit. " He motioned towards the holocron. Turning it in his fingers, " I was simply going to keep the two of you about as slaves. For my own amusement. Seems though... you decided to take the hard route, made things much worse. So once we extract this information of strongholds and technology from your mind... you're slag."
" I don't know what business your former Master, I assume there was more for you also, but that person no longer exists to tell us what that fate was. So, you're to be disposed of. Then I shall take this... "
" What do you mean, I? Zyg. You told me you had no interest. " The Wolf of the Sith cut in, eyes narrowing to slits.
Zyg cleared his throat, brushing off Jy'Ket. " I... " he emphasied getting bold, holding the object in his hand was perhaps causing this brash choice of words. " will bring this directly to the Sith Lords, to make sure of course it gets there safely. "
" Worthless pile of woompa poodoo. I'm going to gut you... " Snarled the Sith Warrior, blade drawing free. The three men around Zyg, Anka and Dek all aimed blasters towards Jy'Ket who was in motion suddenly a hasted blur of whirling weaponry closing in on Zyg, who's arms flared to life with electictricity leaping from him to dance along the walls, nearest objects and arc towards Jy'ket.
Weapons fired, light illuminated the insides of the building. The Sith all, in a free for all. The warrior battling the Devotee and his henchmen. Thoughts and any idea of Dek, or Anka existing forgotten...

Taddio Tara’dek:
Scowling at the sudden change, Dek looks around a bit nervously. Things were going from bad to worse, and he knew if it came to it, there would be no real way for him to defend himself.
But as things went, and Zyg and Jy’ket begin to bicker, he realized Anka and he only had one chance, and that was to escape. As heated words were exchanged, weapons were drawn, and weapons were fired, Dek grabs Anka’s arm and whispers as loudly as he dared. “Don’t fight me, this is our only chance.”
Dek was a man of action, and not one that particularly liked intrigue, so the sooner they left this group behind, the better. He would apologize to Anka later, but right now he was sure that she wanted out of here as much as he did, and they didn’t have time for daintiness. Picking her up into his arms, he cradles the Twi’lek against his chest and speeds through the nearest doorway, out into the sands of Tatooine.
Grabbing up his lightsaber in one hand, he lets Anka slide down one side of his body, while he brings the lightsaber to life along the other. Turning, he slashes across the throats of the two guards standing just outside of the doorway, even as their blasters started to rise. Killing wasn’t something he enjoyed, but these were not innocent men, and he had to do something to prevent them from stopping their escape.
Hopping up onto a swoop bike, the same one he had driven from the massacre. Pulling Anka up onto the bike with him, he fires it to life and guns it, taking off across the sand, he makes right for his ship. It wasn’t far, and he was sure they could be on it before the others would be finished fighting.
“R2.” Dek used his comlink with his R2 unit, wanting to make this as seamless as possible. “Open up the hanger bay door and get the ship ready to departure.” A few beeps and blips later, Dek responded. “Yes R2, we’re in a hurry. Don’t back talk, act. We need to hurry.”
He was still holding his lightsaber, though it was off. He couldn’t help but smirk though, as he reached down with his other hand to pat the sack he had taken from Zyg during all the confusion. The crystals he had been sent to deliver were even now resting inside of that place they had escaped from, clearly marked so that they would be noticed. He had his payment, and the job was done, that was all that mattered. But he would be looking over his back for a while, that was for sure.
It didn’t take long until ‘Serenity’ came into sight, the hangar bay door even then opening up. Lifting off from the sands, he flies the swoop bike into his ships hangar, jumping off of it even as he shut the bike down. “I’m sorry Anka, I don’t have time for a tour, and we need to get out of here.” He tells her as he runs through his ship. Surely she wanted off of this rock as much as he did, and she would recognize the urgency of leaving before things got further out of hand.
Banging his shoulder against the wall, he runs around a corner and into the choobiepit. Jumping into his seat, he flicks switches, powering his sub-light, and ion engines. And even as they were still powering up, he turns on the nav computer and sets a course. He doubts that Zyg and Jy’ket would after him quickly, considering the fighting that had been going on, but he didn’t want to risk it. The sooner they were in another star system, the better.
The door to the hangar bay begins to close as the ship lifts off, sending up a spray of sand around the entire ship. A cloud that disappeared behind them as the sub-light engines light up and pushes them away from the planets surface, up through the atmosphere into space. Breathing a sigh of relief, he punches the ion drives to maximum and engages the Navcom, ‘Serenity’ flying off through the black towards an unspecified destination.
Grabbing a display screen, he looks down to his R2 unit as it wheels into the choobiepit. “R2, go bring Anka, the Twi’lek, up here to the living quarters.” As the astromech droid left to do it, Dek stands up and walks out to the common area of the living quarters and situates himself on the large sofa that he had placed there, bringing up their course on the display screen. Anka would want to know what was going on, after all. Breathing a long sigh, Dek opens up the sack and begins to count it, finding it to have the agreed upon price for the crystals, and a little more. All in all, despite the excitement, it had been a very successful deal.
Anka:
As Anka heard the word slave, she felt her eyes widen, she had always told herself that she would never let that happen again, and she didn’t see how this situation was going to be any different. When the men started to argue, she looked to Dek, taking a step backwards only a mere moment before he scooped her up in his arms. She merely nodded her head as she heard him whisper, knowing that this was probably their only chance to get away, before becoming the very thing she had fought to never be again, or worse.
Everything else seemed to happen in a blur, the killing of the guards seemed to take mere seconds before she found herself on the back of the bike, holding onto Dek as he spoke to his droid unit on his ship. As they made their way across the sand she saw his ship come into view, the only thing that suddenly popping into her mind was the Jedi’s ship that she had stolen and what she was going to tell him if she ever saw him again.
As they made their way onto the ship, Anka opened her mouth to speak as Dek jumped off quickly, leaving her behind alone. Anka moved her lithe body off of the bike as the bay door began to close, realizing that she had nothing with her, none of her belongings, and none of her weapons. Muttering under her breath, she looked around, turning her head as she heard the blips and beeps of a droid behind her.
As it told her she needed to follow him, she really didn’t see what else she could do, so she followed the little unit back up to the living quarters part of the ship, looking over at Dek as he sat upon the sofa, counting what was in his bag…money no doubt. Crossing her arms over her chest, she pulled her lekku over her shoulders, crossing them atop her breast as the ends twitched silently. “I do hope that you know where we’re going and that your ship isn’t going to be followed, they will kill us.”
Nameless Hate:
His tongue came out lashing across his lips, the smell of burnt flesh, open arteries and released bowels fill the small chamber. His nose curled upwards, as his leg lifted kicking at one of the prone forms to plant a toe into its gut. " I know you're not dead Zyg. That leg is carterized, can't speak for your face... but I'll let you live. I know how much you enjoy your vanity you perverse freak this is torture enough for you, no bacta tank in the galaxies could fix what I've done. Consider this a lesson of where your place is. The New Sith have no room for weaklings and cowards, you are both. This is not mercy... this is prolonged suffering, do not take this for kindness. "
There was no response, there wouldn't be of course. The man was barely alive as it was, his breathing shallow, almost inaudible. " Enjoy your beauty sleep. " Jy'Ket murmered as he tightened his grip on the holocron stepping over the man. Leaving the foul smelling building to retreat to his Infilitrator.
" Master... I have acquired Lord Tothl's prison. " He spoke to thin air. Having pressed down on the Holonet transmitter. Instantly a form in complete symbiotic armor appeared snapping to life in a blue tiny figurine like image. " Bring it. Do not delay. What of the rest? "
" I had to destroy Zassresh, he was as you suspected. Murg is lost and Zyg... he is indisposed... Zyg has slipped up he brought outsiders into the plan they escaped."
Silence followed by a hiss, open threat issuing forth without the use of words, " Find them, eliminate them, before they speak to anyone. Then return, there is much to be done. The other Lords grow ambitious and impatient. "
" Pathetic slaves, nothing more. They shall be dealt with Master. " Neglecting to mention the male was a Force-sensitive who had opened the Holocron.
" Make sure they are my apprentice... "
The Wolf winced as he lowered his head in a show of humility letting it tip down until the image faded even at this distance he could feel the power of his Master, the man who seemed to be nothing more than a giant walking suit of armor and dark side energy. Lifting his eyes again he powered up the ship, thrusters bursting to life as it lifted, nose aiming upwards to the heavens as it began to fire up and take off. Leaving Tatooine behind with a snarl. It was his life on the line now, Dek and Anka were to be found and killed.

Taddio Tara’dek: Sitting comfortably, he looks up as his R2 unit brings Anka towards him. “I know exactly where we are going. Whether we are followed or not, however, is irrelevant.” He turned to look into her eyes, even from a distance. “Those were Sith that we were dealing with Anka. They’ll come after us relentlessly…if they mean to kill us. And quite frankly, I think they do.” There was no point in pulling punches at this juncture. Like it or not, they were in it for the long haul. “What I figure, we will be better off away from Tatooine, and what better place to hide then to among the Sith’s greatest enemies, The Jedi.” Pulling the vid display from his lap, he holds it out to here, showing her that their course would take them to three different planets. Adega, then to Coruscant, and lastly, to Nubia. “I have to make a couple of drops at Adega and Coruscant. Once on Coruscant, I figure we will get in touch with the Jedi council and I will make them aware of what just happened on Tatooine, and about something else that I know about.” He smirked as he looked to Anka, noticing her twitching lekku, wishing for a moment that he could understand what their movements meant. “In thanks for the information we will provide, I’m quite sure that the council will appoint some Jedi to join us and go to Nubia, where my former Master had a base of operations.” He stopped talking, taking a moment to look her over, his eyes scanning over her form, gauging her body posture. Deciding that she didn’t seem to be much of a threat, at least for the moment, he turned around and stretched. “So, just exactly what were you doing on Tatooine with those Sith, anyways?” His brow quirking upwards curiously. At that point, Dek’s R2 unit wheeled away, heading for his alcove. Quietly, he pats the seat beside him, offering her a place to sit. He’d deal with giving her a room later, and the minor details. It was time to get the bigger picture. Anka: Anka listened to him and groaned audibly as she realized that they were going to indeed be together for a long time. She guessed that she should just make the most of it and as he showed her the display that he held in his lap, she waved her hand not caring what was on it or what he was trying to show her. “I know nothing about those things, so it does me no good to look at it at all.” At the mention of the Jedi, her lekku began to twitch again, wondering what was going to happen when the one who’s ship she stole caught up with her. The other one though, he had helped her and perhaps he would again, he seemed to be more stable anyways. She was always glad though that noone knew what the short deliberate movements meant and she was sure that little droid that he had wasn’t programmed to know such things. As he patted the seat beside him, she moved to sit, not to close to him, though because she still didn’t trust him completely, there weren’t many that she did trust. Crossing her legs, she brushed some of the sand from her bare belly and legs, adjusting her top a bit to make sure she was fully covered, her brow arching as he asked her about the Sith. “I was not aware that was what they were, one of them offered to help me if I went along with them, and well that didn’t happen and the scum that had enslaved me is still alive, so don’t fault me for thinking that they were Jedi, it’s what they said that they were, how was I to know the difference?” Shifting a bit, she turned to look at him, her eyes roaming over his form as she sized him up, she could take him if she had to, piloting his ship though may be harder than the last time. “Perhaps you should just show me where I can clean up and rest, I’m rather tired.” Nameless Hate: starwars.wikia.com/images/thumb/d/d0/Sith_Infiltrator.jpg/300px-Sith_Infiltrator.jpg[/img] The trick now was to find where they were headed.. Not many ships had left or entered Tatooine recently, within the last hour perhaps as many as five including the two of them. The Scimitar's (Sith Infiltrators) on-board systems were highly advanced built for tracking, hiding and detection. Instantly the stygium crystal-powered cloaking device covered it distorting the shape at first then shielding it from view and sensors. Following the departing spikes on the radar screen he picked out the Space Yacht. No chance it was quick enough to escape. " There we are. " He mused to himself tapping the screen. Unsure of what weapon systems Taddio had upon his ship, by now though they were in Corsec and Republic space zones. Meaning he couldn't attack without being noticed. Best thing he could do was follow, and wait. Make sure they never made it to where they were intending to go. Once he was clear enough of patrols, outbound detection sattelites and planetary defenses... they'd become space dust. Picking up speed on the Scimitar he hastened after them, keeping them in a safe distance. Only thing to do now was to follow and wait. Taddio Tara’dek: Watching the Twi’lek as she addressed him, he couldn’t help but wonder what the twitching of her lekku meant. He knew some of the basics, but not nearly enough to decipher such intricate communication. Placing the data pad back in his lap, he listens to Anka’s words and merely nods. “Yes, well, let me tell you. Jedi rarely join former slaves in vengeance missions meant to kill.” He responded, suspecting much from what she had spoken of, and bits of conversation he had picked up earlier. “Jedi, on the whole, only kill when provoked. It’s against their code. Jedi defend, not attack. Something you should keep in mind for the future.” His eyes slid over her briefly, taking in the looks she was giving him. He knew that look all too well, she was sizing him up, and from the look on her face, and she thought she could take him out. Not that she would be trying anytime soon, if he gauged right, but it was something to watch out for. He wasn’t captivated by her looks, or her body, as most men might be. Of course, his time as a slave had all but destroyed his desire for females, of any species. Well, not entirely. Such thought got interrupted though, when she spoke again, of being tired. Thinking that it would be a good thing for her to be a little distracted, he agreed with her. Stretching his arms a bit, he lets his jacket slide off of his arms to lay across the arm of sofa behind him. Pulling his shirt out from the waist of his pants, he places all of his weapons, excluding his lightsaber, on top of his jacket. With that taken care of, he pulls his shirt off and, tossing it over his shoulder. His years of slavery and mercenary work had given his body a chiseled look, well honed muscles flexing reflexively as the cool ship air hit bare skin. “This way.” Without waiting, Dek walks towards the left, away from the choobiepit, choosing the quarters next to his. “You can use this room. It’s not exactly elegant, but it’s got a bed, and its own bathroom with a sonic shower. I’m afraid you’re on your own for clothes though, although, I think the pervious occupant left a few items.” He pushed a button, unlocking the door, and it opened with a swish. “I’m sure you don’t need any help with the shower. So I’ll let you to it, I have things of my own to do.” And with that, he walks away from Anka, leaving her enter the room on her own. He wasn’t very concerned about her, at least not at the moment. She would be watched. One of his R4 units wheeled into the main area at that point, and after giving it a few instructions, he turned and walked into the choobiepit, dropping down into the pilots seat. Almost as soon as she did, though, lights began to flash across the panels. “Great.” Dek mutters to himself. One of the things he had had installed in his ship had been advanced sensors. Everyone thought that cloaked ships were impossible to detect, but they were wrong. Cloaked ships gave of a particular energy signal. Normally the levels were so small that they were mistaken for space phenomena, or debris. But that was what gave it away. Phenomena were sporadic, while a cloaked ship gave off the same levels constantly. Right now, his sensors were telling him that a cloaked ship was following him from quite a distance, though they couldn’t tell him much more then that for the moment. “I should have expected this.” He muttered loudly. As much as he could fend for himself, he knew he would be no match for a war ship, if that is what was following ‘Serenity’. He had seen Sith Infiltrators, and other ships of the sort. He knew first hand what they were capable of, and he didn’t want to tangle with one if at all possible, despite his additions to the seemingly defenseless yacht. “R2, scramble a message.” the astromech droid responded with a series of beeps and whines. “Yes, that’s where I need it sent to.” Taking a moment to compose himself, Dek begins his message. “To whichever Jedi might be hearing this, my name is Taddio Tara’dek. I’m in dire need of assistance. Recently I was on the planet of Tatooine, where a unintentionally got involved with a cult of Sith. Currently, I am on my way to Coruscant, and a cloaked ship is following me. I suspect this ship belongs to one of these Sith, a fairly powerful one. In addition to this, I also know the location of an older Sith stronghold that the Jedi might be interested on the planet of Nubia. Please, respond as soon as possible.” It was a short message, but hopefully it would get the interest of the Jedi council, which was where the message was going, straight for the Jedi temple, and any Jedi ships within the area. If Jy’ket was the one following them, which he suspected it was, they would need all the help they could possibly get. And the Jedi were the only ones capable of dealing with such a powerful Force user. He just dearly hoped that he wouldn’t have to reveal his own origins, or how he had come by this knowledge. “We sure stuck our butts into it this time R2.” Dek said to his astromech droid with a sigh. Things were not looking up for him, especially with the Twi’lek on board. Without Anka, he might have stood a chance of escaping, or perhaps even joining with these Sith. Maybe he should have just chopped the Twi’lek’s head off and left her on that backwater planet. And yet…he couldn’t bring himself to do such a thing. In some warped sense of honor, he really needed to see her to safety. Not that she would ever trust him. And most likely she would stab him in the back before this was all said and done. Maybe he should just cut his losses and try to communicate with whoever was following him. Of course, if he tried to do that, whoever it was might decide to just blast him out of space instead of merely following. No, he would wait to hear from the Jedi. Trying to bargain with the Sith would be a last ditch effort for when he had no other options. He still held several cards that would interest the Sith Lords. None of which would keep Anka safe, but by the time he was so desperate as to give away the information he held, Anka would be the least of his concerns. “I’m running out of idea’s R2. You got any in that metal body of yours?” Of course, all Dek got in response was the typical whines and whirs. “Oh yeah, thanks, that’s real helpful R2.” He laughs, shaking his head at his droids sarcasm. How he had ever laid his hands on such an eccentric R2 unit, he would never know. “I sincerely doubt lowering our heads between our legs and kissing our ass’s goodbye will keep us alive.”

Jy'ket's eyes narrowed to slits. Blocked sectors on Coruscant? Jedi. " Crafty. " He whispered out aimed towards Dek and his suped-up ship. The open transmission intercepter patching in everything that was being broadcast from Taddio's craft, one of the many countermeasures built into the wonderous machine. Annoying pest. He growled out, quickly his fingertips tapped over the console to his left. Scrambling the transmission sent out further, turning it into garble, leaving it a mess for the Jedi or whomever recieves it. This he could continue to do the entire way, and would. Overly prepared for such things, his ship did not decloak or change paths it's destination... wherever they were headed. Deliberate now, almost enjoying the fact that he had been detected.
Anka:
Stepping behind him, Anka followed Dek as he led her to the room that she would be using. Hearing his words, she looked at him and wrinkled his nose as she looked over his body, well toned and muscled it maybe, but not attractive to her in the least. “Yes I’m sure I’m quite capable of figuring out how to use the shower, no need for you to hold my hand whilst I do. Moving past him, she slipped into the room, her hand landing on the button to close and lock the door in his face before he could say another word to her.
She moved to the closet first, opening it up and looking at the things hanging inside of it, shaking her head as she picked up each garment and looked them over, most were either too hot or just plain ugly. Anka was taught from a very early age that it was appropriate to show skin and dress suggestively without a second thought. It was almost second nature to her, and she was in no way ashamed of her body.
Rummaging through the rest of the closet, she stepped into it, looking around at how big it actually was, pushing all the rest of the clothes to the far end as she tilted her head and glanced at the one outfit that was left before her. White, not primarily her favorite color, but as she looked at it, it would suffice. Grabbing it in her hands she stepped out of the closet, tossing the clothing on the bed, as she stripped down out of the sandy garb that she was wearing.
Moving to the sonic shower, she hit the button to turn it on, stepping inside of it as the sonic waves began to cleanse her body, she didn’t want to stay in too long as she didn’t trust the man that was piloting the ship to not take them to some other The Maker forsaken place other than the ones he had already mentioned. Finishing quickly, she turned the shower off and stepped back into the room, moving over to the bed and sitting on the edge as she picked up the wadded outfit.
Picking up the top, she slid her shoulders in, fastening it in the back, adjusting her breasts in the cups as she pulled them down to cover her body, the bikini like top fitting her perfectly this time, unlike the other that was now lying in a pile on the floor. Picking up the bottoms, she stepped into them, the underside much like the lining of what a human would go swimming in, a short pleated skirt covering her bottom and stopping in the middle of her inner thigh.
It wasn’t the best, but it would have to do for now. Making her way back to the locked door, she pushed the button to open it, standing in the doorway before going back to the couch she was sitting on with Dek. He looked distressed and though she didn’t care why, she decided to ask anyway “What’s wrong, you look like you’ve seen a ghost?” Moving her hands, she adjusted her headpiece just slightly, before re-wrapping the long ribbons around her lekku, each one twitching slowly as she continued to watch the man, awaiting a response.

Taddio Tara’dek:
Cursing loudly, Dek looks down at his droid as the beeps and whines that come at him tell him that the message he had just sent out was being intercepted. Of course, he couldn’t be sure if the message was being altered, disrupted, or if nothing at all was done. “Damnit it all to hell.” That message had been their best option, and now it was stripped away from them.
Whoever was following ‘Serenity” had technology that was better then his own, that much was sure, and that was saying something. ‘Serenity’ was a well-built ship with tons of personal modifications. She wasn’t heavily armed, but she could certainly put up one hell of a fight when it came down to it. His sensors were top of the line, also with special modifications that few ships had. One of his associates was an expert in cloaking technology, and had designed a special sensor array for the use of detecting said technology. Such an array, while being costly, had been installed on his ship as an experiment.
A cloaking device was even now being designed for ‘Serenity’ by that very same associate, at quite a cost too. It just so happened, though, that it wasn’t ready, and that it would be awhile until it was. “Damn, it sure would be nice to have a cloak right now.” Dek mutters to himself as he examines the data before him. Well, at least he was one step up in the game, and he at least knew that he was being followed. The array was top of the line experimental technology.
Unfortunately, it was useless except to know that a cloaked ship was near ‘Serenity’, and to know its location. It was still a cloaked ship, and non-identifiable. “We left that The Maker-forsaken planet, and they follow us. We send a message, and they intercept it. I guess that means it our turn to make a move.” He muses to R2. Needing to think, but also needing a distraction to be able to think more clearly, he touches a button to a nearby display monitor. It lights up with smaller screens, showing the interiors of every room in the living quarters, the cargo bay, and all the other major parts of the ship.
Touching one of the smaller displays, the inside of the room that he had given to Anka lights up and expands to fill the screen. As it did, Anka walked out of the shower, stark naked. Despite what he had claimed earlier, the sight of her naked purple skin made his body suddenly go tight and painful with need. To date, he had never made love to a woman of any race while a free man. But the reason he was spying on her had nothing to do with any type of sexual need. He didn’t trust her, and considering the circumstances of their arrangement, no one could blame him for that. She had shown him nothing but contempt so far, after all.
He still couldn’t help but stare at her soft, alluring body. Leaving her up on the display screen, he taps a few buttons, and then turns to his R2 unit. “Perhaps what we need to do is just play the game. Regardless, I need to go to Coruscant, and that means that whoever is following us will have to follow us there.” Escape and evade. It was something that Captain Bandini had taught him a lot about. Not to mention it wouldn’t be the first time that he was followed after completing a job.
As Anka was getting dressed and started to move towards the door, he turned the monitor off. No need for her to know he was watching her. Within moments, Anka joined him in the choobiepit. Deciding that letting her know that he didn’t trust her was out of the picture, it would be better to test her.
“A ghost? No. More like a phantom.” He says, touching another display screen to bring up some information. “I’m sure that you have no idea what this says, mostly cause this isn’t a typical technology. But it’s saying that right now that there is a cloaked ship following us. And my guess is that one of the Sith we were dealing with had decided to end our lives.”
He was less then happy by the prospect. “Unfortunately, I cannot tell much more then that we are being followed. And to be honest, I’m not very sure what to do at this point.” He typed something on the buttons in front of him, the ship adjusting course while in hyperspace slightly, taking them in another direction entirely. But even as the ship changed course, ten special charges shoot out from various locations on ‘Serenity’, each one sending out identical signals of their source. It was a little trick that Captain Bandini had taught him long ago. Each drone that went out into space adjusted their courses every so often, and expensive as these droids were to build, it would be well worth it to get some breathing room from the one that was following them.
Of course, that wasn’t the only trick he had on board, but for now, it was one step in trying to figure out the problem. Continuing to adjust his course, making his ship blend in with the other signals, he waits to see if it worked or not. The one thing that he had learned from his sensors that the ship following him was far enough back that it wouldn’t have a visual on ‘Serenity’, and could only possibly have a sensor lock on his ion trail. “Your turn.” He whispers to the screen in front of him.
Returning his attention to Anka, who no doubt would be confused at this point, he talks to her again. “Our only hope is that I can shake our tracker long enough for us to put some distance between us. The only problem is, they intercepted a message I was sending to Coruscant, to the Jedi council. At this point in time, I think our only option is to obtain the help of real Jedi. You and I are hardly capable of killing that Echani alone. Besides that, at least on Coruscant we will have some level of protection, especially if it is the Sith that is following us. He won’t be able to make a move on us in the open, because even if he kills us, he will be exposed to the Jedi. The Sith survive by keeping hidden from the Jedi.”
Dek was sure that he was laying a lot before Anka, but she needed to know what they were up against. Leaning back in his seat, he sighs, brushing a bit of sand that had plastered itself to his chest. His emerald eyes turn to look into hers, a serious expression on his face. “You need to tell me everything that happened while you are on Tatooine. Our very survival could depend on something that you or I know. It’s a very last effort, but if we have to, I’m going to try to negotiate with our tracker.”
Of course, he didn’t mention what he really intended to do as far their present course was concerned, but then, this was a test. If she was a spy implanted by the Sith, he needed to know now. Even though he didn’t fully trust her, as his eyes took measure of her, he couldn’t help but remember the sight of her naked body. A light smile crosses his face as he pictures it right now.
Anka:
As she heard his words, she crossed her legs at the knee, moving her fingers to pull down the short skirt that she was wearing, not giving him a chance to look at things that he shouldn’t be. As he kept talking, she kept listening, though most of what he was saying was boring her to no end. So what if someone was following them, if whoever it was, wanted them dead so badly, then they would be that way already.
“It’s supposed to be surprising to me that you don’t know what to do.” The words dripped off of Anka’s lips, her trust of the man growing less and less as he began to spew this babble at her. Her eyes looked him over again, one shot that was all she would need.
Her eyes almost rolled as she heard him speak of the Jedi again “Yes, help from the Jedi, but you failed in that aspect didn’t you and now here we sit, waiting, waiting for what, well who knows, but if it is the one that was with the others, then you are right about one thing, we can’t kill him, but he will kill us.”
Her eyes narrowed as he questioned her about her time on Tattoine, how dare he. Standing she saw him smiling and though she had no idea that he had been watching her, she knew that he was keeping something to himself. Walking across the floor, she stopped in front of him, bending at the waist as she got eye level with him.
“I have a better idea, how about you mind your own business, I already told you what I was doing there and if you are daring to suggest that I had anything to do with this then I will knock you out of that chair and onto your ass so fast that you won’t know what hit you.” Anger was something that she usually kept in check, but this time, she couldn’t, he had brought it to a boiling point with all but accusing her of being mixed up with these Sith types.
She would stand by what she said because it had been the truth, she didn’t know the difference and he had offered to help her kill Bassl. No more, no less.

Taddio Tara’dek:
Of course, all those pleasant thoughts scattered out of his mind the moment she opened her mouth. His eyes narrowed at her. She was confusing blunt honesty with weakness. Well, unlike her, he wasn’t about to just sit idly by let whoever it was just run up their arses and kill them.
Obviously she wasn’t with the Sith, because if she was, she would have been killed already for her mouth. Complete annoyance keeps him silent, only because he didn’t want to be forced to slap her for being so rude. By the Force he wanted to slap her though, to shut her up completely once and for all. But the more she spoke, the angrier he got, until he was seeing red, and all thoughts of keeping the peace flown in the face of her arrogance and attitude.
Rising up from his seat, he scowls and moves to face her completely, squaring his shoulders. “You got some room to talk rancor. You wanna talk about failure? Why don’t you look at your own and how you got to be here.” His voice full of venom, full of disgust. “You’re completely clueless, aren’t you? You think this is some sort of game? You’re right, if whoever is following us turns out to be that psychotic Sith weapons master, then we’re royally karked. So excuse me for having this overpowering need to figure out our next step. However, if you don’t care so much, and you think I’m such a screw up, then you are more then welcome to jump ship.”
Scowling at her still, he turns back to the monitors of his ship, dropping back into his chair. Before she could respond, he flicked his hand at her, dismissing her. “If you’re not gonna help, and all you have is contempt for me, then get the hell out of the choobiepit and go sit in the room I gave you.” His eyes looking sideways at her just long enough for her to be able to see the true anger and contempt in them. “If you think you can take me, then do it, otherwise just shut your face. I don’t have time for temper tantrums and wounded ego’s.”
He had had enough, and her attitude was making things worse then what they needed to be. All he wanted to do was live, to keep his ship in one piece, and by default, save her life as well. He supposed such things didn’t matter to her. But something she had said clicked in his mind. If the ship following them truly wanted them dead, then he would surely make a move. Of course, firing a weapon in hyperspace could be just as disastrous for him as it would be for them. Still, it didn’t mean he wouldn’t make his move. If he was, he would be doing it soon, because they would be dropping out of hyperspace within the borders of Coruscant space in short order.
Anka:
She backed away from him as he rose from his seat, her eyes narrowing and her lips pursed to say something, but staying completely silent. As she listened to his rant, she crossed her arms over her chest, listening to the names that he spewed forth at her. Nothing but a smile came across her face as he continued to spit words at her, seeing just what this man truly was. He could claim all he wanted that he was a former slave, soft and gentle, but here, she saw something different, and though she would not dispute what he said, she knew down deep he was something much darker.
Turning on her heel as he dropped into his chair, she walked away as he dismissed her, not because he told her to, but because she wanted to. Anka had no doubt that he thought she was going to jab back at him, that she was going to yell and scream and rant and rave much as he had. She held her tongue, and kept control of her temper…for now, she had been treated badly enough in the past to learn how to be subdued when she needed to be.
Surprising to him, she had no doubt; she placed her hand on the button to open the room, disappearing through the door, a loud swish echoing through the choobie pit as it closed behind her. Pacing back and forth, she began to feel nothing but contempt for this man, but there was something more, something that she needed to test and find out for herself.
Continued pacing back and forth across the floor, her eyes scanning the walls and the floor for something, anything that she could get her hands on. “Feirfeks” Her eyes suddenly move to the closet, where she had found the clothes, her lithe body moving quickly to it and pulling it open, what appeared to be thick wire hangers, holding the clothes on the steel bar above.
Pulling off a set of the clothes, she tossed them onto the floor, her fingers wrapping around one and pulling it off of the rack. Moving to the bed, she sat down and moved her fingers to the top, untwisting the curve and straightening out the bent wire the rest of the way. Slicing it through the air, she grinned as she stood up again, the anger that she had suppressed in the choobiepit, boiling to a rage as she hit the button to open the door.
Watching him for a moment, she moved across the room stealthily, her right hand gripped around the end of the makeshift weapon. Stopping no more than a foot behind him, Anka drew her arm back, bringing it towards the upper part of his left shoulder and back with everything she had. Now, she hadn’t exactly planned this out very well, only knowing that her anger was fueling her, waiting to see just how much of a man he really was.
Taddio Tara’dek:
Seeing her leave the choobiepit, Dek sighs forlornly. She had brought out a side of him that he had thought long buried. During his years in bondage, it had been driven out of him…but only to a point. It had lain dormant within his young mind. One did not leave the ways of the Dark Side of the Force behind quite as easily as any Master/Mistress might have hoped. Though, at the time, none of his owners had known the truth.
He would have to apologize to her later, but at the moment, they had far more pressing concerns in front of them. Still, something was knawing at him. Turning slightly, he turns on the surveillance monitor again, he splits the screen with images of the main area, and Anka’s room. It didn’t take him long to realize what she was up to, though. What she hoped to accomplish with that thin piece of aluminum, he didn’t know, but he was sure he would find out soon enough.
As she moved to leave her room, he watched as she swished the metal piece through the air, obviously wielding it as some sort of weapon. Great, just what he needed. The last thing they needed was to start fighting with a killer nipping at their heels. Realizing that she was heading straight for him, he turns the monitor off once more, after returning its settings to the main screen.
Just as he finishes, and the screen goes blank, Dek hears the choobiepit door swishing back open. His senses fan out, feeling her every movement. As she pulls her arm back to swing, he rolls to the opposite side, lowering his shoulders, and turning as he goes. The swish of the makeshift weapon was audible to him as he uses his limited powers in the force to speed his movements, allowing him to dodge the swing and rise up on the other side of the chair to face her, even as the hanger-made-weapon connected with the headrest of the pilots seat.
Lifting his hand, he calls upon his Force powers, using Force push and concentrating on her. It was one of the most basic of the Force abilities, and one that he could wield fairly flawlessly and powerfully. With the door still open out into the main area, he wills the Force to push Anka out there, and away from the choobiepit and its many sensitive systems. At the same time, with his right hand, he unfastens his lightsaber and prepares to defend himself if it came to it.
“I really don’t want to fight you, but you gave me no choice there in the choobiepit. We’re being tracked and hunted down. This is not the time for soothing ego’s, yours OR mine. If you want to fight, fine, I’ll fight you on even terms. Just not here, and just not now.” Standing his ground, he waits for her to decide, more then ready defend himself. Moving backwards for a moment, he places his lightsaber in a storage locker inside the choobiepit, locking it so she couldn’t get to it. She had no weapon, and angry or not, it seemed a little unfair to be holding one himself. “So what’s it gonna be? Stupidity now? Or shall we wait and see if we can live a little longer?”

Nameless Hate:
The Echani Sith grew tired of the tailing game. They were already far enough out of safety zones he could open fire without notice. Deciding that would be his next course of action with the flick of a switch, cloaking falling away to reveal the Sith Infiltrator.
Weapons lighting up to release concentrated blasts from four of the six on-board weapon systems these shots were all fired towards the rear drive sectors of Dek's ship. Wanting to cripple it's mobility, after those four were fired he would instantly fire again. Already beginning to change position, trying to get closer.
Anka:
Cursed under her breath as he moved out of the chair, rolling to the side and rising up before her. Letting go of the make-shift weapon, she looks him over, the look on her face more of disappointment that she missed than anything else. Stepping back away from him, she was caught off guard as he used his force powers to push her back, not really able to do anything to stop it as he pushed her back into the main room of the ship.
Anka listened to him as he spoke to her, it was anger that had been fueling her, that and nothing more. “It does figure though that you would use powers against someone that you know doesn’t hold any, but I guess that just shows what kind of man you really are, exactly the way that I expected” Narrowing her eyes slightly as she watched him put his lightsaber away, she still wasn’t convinced that he would fight fairly.
Composing herself, Anka stood up straight, smoothing out the bottom of her skirt as she turned and sat on the couch behind her. Glancing over to Dek again, she sighed and just shook her head. “I’m not fighting you now, you’d just cheat anyways.”
Looking out of the window, she felt her body jerk suddenly as the whole shipped seemed to shake, her eyes widening as she scurried up from her seat, her hand reaching out and grasping Dek by his bicep as she looked at him. Feeling another hit, she stumbled and lost her balance, falling to the floor as buzzers and sirens began to sound, the little droid that had met her and taken her to this area of the ship, rolling in quickly, beeping and whirring sounds coming from him.
Taddio Tara’dek:
“You have a lot of nerve saying such things about me. I’m not the one that made a makeshift weapon and tried to sneak up on someone with intent to kill or maim. If you had wanted a fair fight, you would have asked for one.” His eyes narrowing on her as she continued to babble, “How dare you accuse me of something I haven’t even done? In case you haven’t noticed, we’re in a life or death situation, and I didn’t need some psycho little Twi’lek destroying the choobiepit. So excuse me for doing what was necessary to survive.”
He didn’t really care what she thought of him, but she had struck a nerve. Life or death nothing, if she wanted a fair fight, he’d give her one, and when she was down on the ground begging him to not hurt her anymore, he’d laugh at her. “You want a fair fight, I’ll give you one you space skank. No Force powers.” His eyes narrowed even more, he walks straight for her.
Just as he is about to take a swing at her, he feels the ship beginning to shake, tossing him off balance. More then familiar with space travel, he quickly regains that balance, though it’s difficult as he feels Anka grabbing his arm and clinging to him. “Oh yeah, I’m a heartless cheat, but now I’m good enough to cling to for safety.” He felt bad for his words, though, as the ship rocks harder and she falls down. But he didn’t have time to worry about it as his R2 unit comes flying into the main living area, beeping away.
Cursing loudly as he feels the entire ship continue to shake, he forgets all about Anka. “Damnit.” He turns, rushing back to his seat, dropping into it, bringing up displays left and right. The shaking turned into one great lurch moments later.
“Oh sonofa…” Dek continues cursing, the displays all telling him one thing. The ship, now confirmed to be a Sith Infiltrator, had opened fire on them. Thankfully being in hyperspace made locking on a very difficult thing, and the shots had been grazing at best. But they had done their job. His ion drives were overloading, and he had no choice but to drop out of light speed, and pray. “Anka…if you’re awake, you better find something to hang onto, and quick.” His tone urgent.
Deciding to not go down without a fight, he does three things all at the same time. He fires a seismic charge behind him, at the Infiltrator. It was doubtful that it would hit the ship, but it would still go off, and drop the Infiltrator out of hyperspace as well, if not more. With that done, he turns off the Ion drives, dropping ‘Serenity’ out of hyperspace. Firing the docking thrusters on one side only, he whips the space yacht around so that he comes out of hyperspace facing the Infiltrator, but slightly off to the side in case it kept moving forward.
“R2, get those R4’s unit working on the Ion Drives, NOW.” The little astromech droid whining and beeping at him as it rushed off to comply. Rolling his eyes, Dek mutters as he listens to the droid repeating his earlier statement of putting their heads between their legs and kissing their asses goodbye.
Throughout the entire process of dropping out of hyperspace and turning the ship around, Dek had begun the power-up process for the rest of his ships defenses and weapons systems. ‘Serenity’ was a formidable ship when push came to shove, but this was definitely not a situation that he was looking forward to. Infiltrators were heavily armed vessels, which was no doubt why the Sith favored them.
His hand was now played, for good or bad. However, Dek still had one last trick up his sleeve before making it an all out firefight. Tapping away on the buttons of his systems, he recalls all of the false ‘Serenity’s’, targeting them at the Sith Infiltrator. Each of the dummy droids were outfitted with seismic charges. If he was going down, then he was taking his enemy with him. Unfortunately, it would take them some time to get here, which meant he needed to stall.
“Space Yacht ‘Serenity’ to Sith Infiltrator. You’ve got my attention. Is there something that I can help you with?” It was a long shot, but if he could open communications, then perhaps he could stall for more time. If nothing else, perhaps he could at least learn who wanted him dead…not that he didn’t already have a pretty good idea.
Nameless Hate:
His initial shots seemed to have hit, that visible as the other vehicle he was following left the stream, the second spray of shots missing.
In the span of time it took for Dek to turn and get into position, as well as drop the charge the infilitrator was slowing down, having sped past already, the way hyperspace worked it would put him still some distance ahead. The ship he piloted just not built to instantly change 'gears' wouldn't allow for an easy fast departure from hyperspace.
Something exploded behind his vessel while he was in lightspeed, the warning display hadn't even picked it up yet to register. Instead a ripple had ran through the Scimitar making it shudder suggesting that it had been rather close. Stars turned from straight lines into dots of light again. He could hear a transmission 'beeping' at him and flicked the channel open.
His departure from hyperspace wasn't at the same time as Dek so it left him with coming out of it later, placing him further from where anticipated, logically at least. Expecially since the man left it before he did, lightspeed being just that, its messed up tricky distortion of time had them both facing different places then they wanted to. He was ahead, further down the straightaway path then Dek was, who was facing the opposite direction waiting for him to appear. He quickly turned about, facing the Serenity's backside, weapons still primed and ready to be fired. The pilot of the space yacht had apparently been expecting a firefight.
Where as the Sith simply wanted to dismantle the ship he was chasing, releasing a spray of four more shots at the other vehicle this being his reply. These shots all fired at the rear propulsion system.
If anyone was paying attention to their radar, they would see several incoming fast blips. Three starfighter size, and one larger freighter size. Jy'ket was too busy at this point to notice them, seemingly amused with the small game at hand. HIs lips curled up into a smirk.

Anka:
Landing on the floor with a thump, Anka pushed up with her hands, looking around as she tried to figure out just what was going on. Making her way back to a standing position, she heard Dek tell her that if she was awake she needed to hold onto something. Whatever was happening, she felt that it must not be good.
Staggering across the ship’s main room, she held onto the wall, moving her hands end over end as she stood in the door before the choobie pit. Sliding her fingers, she held onto the structure of the door, bracing herself in case the ship began to shake again.
Hearing the small droid, she moved carefully through the door, the ship shaking again as they dropped out of hyperspace. The sudden turn, caused her to lose her balance again, tripping, but catching herself on the back of the chair that Dek was occupying. Blinking her eyes she looked out the window, seeing all of the stars that surrounded them, her gaze moving back over to the display that Dek was looking at so intently.
As she heard him speak, she sank down in the chair next to him, her hands folded in her lap, knowing that there wasn’t anything that she could do to help. “Do you really think talking to him is going to do any good?” Sighing she sat back in the chair, looking at all of the gadgets and gizmos in front of her, absolutely lost as she stared at the panel.
Taddio Tara’dek:
Grinning from ear to ear as his ship finally settled from its leap out of hyperspace, the two ships facing nose to nose. He had purposefully kept his ship tracking the Infiltrators movements, wanting to continue to face the Sith’s ship. Almost immediately, his sensors began screaming all over the choobiepit, making him aware of the incoming ships, as well as his own dummy droids, and the Infiltrators weapons.
Still, he was thankful that he had tracked the Infiltrator properly, and that the seismic charge, while fired behind his ship, had continued to move forward in the hyperspace stream along with the Sith vessel, doing some minor damage. But as the shots fired from the enemy ship hit home, further damaging his inoperative Ion Drives.
That, of course, was his answer. And as he heard Anka joining him, making useless comments, Dek began to growl in frustration. “Damnit Anka, either say something helpful or shut the kark up.”
She’d take offense to it, but he didn’t have time to coddle her. Especially considering they had something even worse sitting just outside of his ship that wanted to kill them both. He had already begun to raise what shields he had, but he continued to raise their power, as they were a bit slow to power-up.
Fed up, Dek opens up a broad channel, a distress call really, one that there was no way the Infiltrator could completely shut down. “Attention, any vessel within range. This is ‘Serenity’. We’re under attack and in need of immediate assistance.” He quickly sent it out, along with a set of coordinates, hoping that at least someone would offer help of any kind. With that done, Dek fires off every single weapon in his arsenal. Three AG-IG laser cannons, two Dymex HM-8 concussion missile launchers, and two blaster cannons, all open fire on the Infiltrator, aimed at his offensive weaponry. In addition, the dummy droids were almost within range with their seismic warheads.
He had no delusions about destroying the ship, or even permanently disabling it. But if he got lucky, he could take its weapons out of commission, and maybe its propulsion, long enough to get out of its range, repair his engines, and get out of there. But it was a long shot.
“This is getting way out of hand. If we don’t get some help soon, or get some luck, we’re screwed.” He said, not really to anyone, just muttering to himself. Pushing on a few buttons, he readies the escape pods. Obviously abandoning ship in the face of such a powerful adversary was something reserved for the most dire of circumstances. But if it down to the destruction of his ship, he’d rather take his chances with the pods then to get blown up. If came down it, he knew that the Ion drives were still operable enough that he could make a slight jump into hyperspace, and ram the Infiltrator. It would destroy ‘Serenity’ too, but then again, at that point, it wouldn’t matter.
Nameless Hate:
Warning alarms lit up once again. The Force along with, skill, and the Scimitar's advanced systems allowed Jy'ket to do a smooth barrel roll, assisted by side thrusters. Sending him free of the stream, his shields having loaded up too slow that if they had hit his ship would have been obliterated. Preparing for a counter attack as he coasted on his side he noticed the other incoming ships, and an outgoing message.
“Attention, any vessel within range. This is ‘Serenity’. We’re under attack and in need of immediate assistance.”
" Pests. " He muttered, engaging the cloaking system again he fired the drives, forcing his ship to take evasive action, and leave immediate detection space. Still aimed at keeping them in radar range.
Two Cloakshaped fighters, a Phoenix hawk tailed by a YT-2400.
" This is Starhell IV to Serenity, we are incoming and do not see an attacking vessel. Here to assist you if need be. " Came the reply. Apparently from the YT-2400.
" We'll secure the area to make sure you're safe. " As the voice over the comm said that the two Cloakshape fighters split off spreading into a wide arc sweeping outward apparently, while the Phoenix Hawk lifted and went in the direction of Serenity, only 'higher' up. The YT-2400 apparently the Starhell stayed where it was, facing Dek's upgraded space yacht.
Jy'ket drifted, confident that his cloaking systems would conceal him. Watching the wagon wheel like encirclement taking place. Tipping his chin upwards so his hood fell over his eyes as frustration grew inside of him, grinding together sharpened teeth. Lips drawing back into an angered sneer. " I'll have you... just a minor set-back. " The name Dek now lingered in his mind, this man was growing very troublesome, he would no longer underestimate him.

Taddio Tara’dek:
The Infiltrators maneuver had been ingenious, but it also allowed Dek to realize that the pilot must be getting a little over anxious. And when the ships cloak engaged again, Dek saw his opening. The incoming ships were a welcome sight, but it was not enough that the ship was disengaging.
“Incoming vessels. Beware, the Infiltrator class vessel with cloaking ability is still in the area.” With Dek’s high-tech scanners, he knew exactly where the vessel was, and he had no intentions of letting it go unscathed. All of his dummy droids were now within range and closing, and would be surrounding the Infiltrator within seconds. “Stay clear of the following coordinates, but keep a watch there.”
In the span of time that it took for the transmission to send, all of the dummy droids flew into place and exploded, sending out simultaneous seismic explosions that he knew the Infiltrator could not completely avoid. There were ten in all, covering a long range, so that even if he managed to escape the brunt of it, his ship would still feel the charges, and it would allow it to appear on the other ships sensors, if only for a few moments.
Satisfied that he had done what needed to be done, he turned his attention to the ships that were coming to his aide. The Sith had no desire to be out in the open, so he was confident that even if he hadn’t done any significant damage to the Infiltrator, it would still be heading way from them.
“Starhell, this is Star Yacht Serenity. Thank you for the assistance. I’d be more then happy to relay whatever information you may need.” Looking over to Anka, he smirks. No matter what she said about him, he had saved her life…twice now. They would be ok, for now, and that was something. In the very least, he would be able to repair his ship, and perhaps even modify his sensors even more so that he could get some earlier warning should the Infiltrator return. But it wasn’t ship to ship combat that had him the most worried. At least in space combat, he was on semi-equal footing with the Sith. But eventually he and Anka would have to leave the relative safety of ‘Serenity’, and that was when they would be vulnerable.
One thing was for sure. He wouldn’t ever underestimate the hatred of the Dark Side. And he certainly wouldn’t underestimate his opponent.
Nameless Hate:
His own concentration wasn't as spread out as Dek's allowing him a full range of extra awareness. Along with the Force being a helpful guide he hadn't completely forgot about the dummy droids. Not sure of when they were orginally deployed but his own ships scanners had them all mapped out. Whether or not they were more than just exactly that 'dummies' he wasn't sure but the closer they moved the further he would edge his ship away.
Finding all of this quite bothersome, he wondered just how this man seemed to know so much about the Sith vessel, let alone its name. Frustration grew further, annoyance at whatever leak caused this or perhaps the man's Master had shown him a thing or two about them. As they closed in rather quickly while listening to the outbound transmissions he swerved sideways ducking the ship in between an asteroid field, the only nearest one so it wasn't hard to reach or overlook.
His ship at this rate was to be destroyed, this he knew already. Miscalculations on his part, not expecting the man to have such a heavily armed, modified, and sensory capable vessel. Explosions went off around him, the droids having released enough explosives to dismantle his shields, rip him out of cloaking and force him into firing off a full array of cannon fire straight towards Dek's choobiepit out of pure spite and a final act of aggression. Releasing his escape pod as he did so, ejecting himself from the ship. Unsure of if the pod would continue to stand up to the continued barrage of siemic eruptions around him challenging fate anyways.
" I'll be damned! A starblasted nice cloaking job. " Exclaimed the pilot of the Starhell.
The fighters all complied with avoiding the blast radius of the dummies. Watching it light up the area, only to see a small pod shot free fires erupting around it as it began to expel oxygen in a spray. The vehicle it was shot from a charred husk hovering dead behind several small remaining chunks of space rock. The Phoenix Hawk moving in already to retrieve the pod. Communication between the rag-tag group of ships not openly transmitted as one of the Cloakshapes moved in for a closer look at the dead Infiltrator.
" What kind of ship is that... " Open communication was heard once more. " An Infiltrator you say? " It broke off once more as if they were conversing. Tow cables shot out to the pod, the home of the escape pod being investigated by the oddly painted Cloakshape.
" Might be something salvage-able here." Came a gravelly voice from the inspecting Cloakshape.
" Watch your commo Dirtrocket. "
With that nothing else was said, none of them seeming to have even noticed the last shots fired off by the Scimitar, or figuring it mattered much. They weren't aimed at them and they were not very visible through the explosions colorful lightshow so it was easily overlooked.
Anka:
Anka leaned back in the chair that she was occupying, not having any idea really what was going on, or what she could do to help. Her eyes watched Dek carefully as he pushed more buttons, seemingly trying to get the ship back in order and get whoever was following them off of their tail.
As the other ships came into view and Dek began to speak to them, she looked at him as she saw the look that he had on her face. She could almost guess what he was thinking, he had saved her, not once but twice and for that she would be indebted to him until she had repaid him. She of course didn’t know what it was that he might want.
Standing, she moved to a window, looking out at the stars as she crossed her arms over her chest, many thoughts roaming through her head as her lekku twitched slowly as they lay down over her shoulders and down her back. Turning she looked at Dek again, whispering softly to him “You saved my life, not once, but twice, I owe you now.”

Taddio Tara’dek:
‘Serenity’ was a Space Yacht by design, but Dek had bought her because she had been built solidly, and with a few modifications, she was the perfect platform for his type of activities. It was those exact modifications that were blaring off alarms as the final shots of the Sith Infiltrator were detected, their destination obvious.
His comm was open, so he could hear all of the chatter, but it hardly concerned him at the moment. Setting the sensors on auto target, he hits the buttons that would allow the lasers to target the weapons aimed at his ship, and open fire on them. Even as he opened fire in the hopes of averting the weapons fire, he fired his sub-light engines, and all of the docking thrusters in the hopes of at least using the bulkier parts of his ship as a shield to the more vulnerable sections.
‘Serenity’ was a solidly built ship, but the earlier fight with the Infiltrator had severely depleted her shields, and taken a huge hit on his power supply as well. The weapons spray from his canons intercepted a few shots, but not all of them, and the remaining ones slam into ‘Serenity’s’ side with thunderous results. One of his Ion drives takes a direct hit, and the side taking the remaining, blowing out one of the walls to one of the walls in the rooms opposite his own and Anka’s. Force shields spring to life instantly as the doors to those rooms lock up instantly, sealing the damage away from the rest of the ship.
When all was said and done, ‘Serenity’ was still in one piece, mostly, and they were still alive. Breathing a sigh of relief, he listened to the comm traffic. The moment the asked about the Infiltrator, he cursed, realizing that not everyone would be privy to that particular class of vessel. He only knew about them by virtue of having been trained by the Sith. Well, there was no use in worrying about that slip now. Whoever these people were had full reign over one, and they would soon figure out what it was on their own. He was in no position to try and take it from them.
His ears perk, and he turns his head as he hears Anka speak. Yes, he had indeed saved her life, but mostly he had been saving his own life, and she was just along for the ride. He had a notion to say that, but Dek decides that for one he wouldn’t be an ass to her. “Yes, well, don’t thank me yet Anka. You see those ships out there?” he asks her as he punches a few more commands into the display. “Those are pirates. Scavengers of the worst kind. We’re not out of the fire just yet.”
With the recent damage to his ship, he knew that they couldn’t sustain much of a fight if they decided to attack. His only hope was that the Infiltrator was too good of a target for them to worry about ‘Serenity’. The Infiltrator, after all, was incapacitated. Serenity was not, and was still capable of fighting. Opening a comm. signal again, he hails the Starhell.
“Thanks again for the assistance Starhell. Good luck with salvaging that Infiltrator. I’m quite sure that you will find it to be a very lucrative haul.” And it would be, for them. He, however, had no intentions of sticking around and giving them an opportunity to take an interest in his ship. Igniting his sub-light engines, he starts moving ‘Serenity’ away from the entire scene. His R4 units were even then working on the Ion Drives, temporary as the repairs might be, they would suffice in getting him to Adega.
“I’m sorry Anka, but we’re going to have to make a detour for right now. With the Sith on our trail, I need to get repairs done to ‘Serenity’ as soon as possible, and the best place for me to do that will be on Adega. So, unless you feel like hanging out with these pirates, you’re gonna have to suffer my company just a bit longer.”
Star Wars Mod:
" Serenity, where do you think you're going? " Asked one of the cloakshape pilots. Nose of it's starfighter aiming itself towards the space yacht. " We've got a nice find here with the scrapped ship, but yours is looking like a much nicer treasure. "
" You do after all owe us for saving your ass. " Continued the pilot.
The obviously modified Phoenix Hawk at this point in time was hauling in the escape pod via droids, depositing it into the cargo hold. The co-pilot moving into the back to inspect the new prisoner.
The other cloakshape called the Dirtrocket and the Starhell both were leveling their sights onto the retreating Serenity.
" We outnumber you, outgun you and our ships are in better condition. We suggest a friendly little exchange, your lives for that ship. " Further more the unknown cloakshaper spoke.
" We're sure you already pegged us for pirates, or raiders. So you should know the routine. " Dirtrockets pilot this time rattled out in it's rock grinding baritone.
" Let them go. We've already got one ship to haul back. " Came an authorative voice from the Starhell. Who seemed to already be drifting towards the Scimitar small round droids ejecting from the vessel to latch onto the dead shell. " Consider this your warning Serenity, enter our territory again... you'd either better be one of us, or you're space dust. "
With that the Starhell closed off his communications busying himself, hoping the others followed suit. Which after a long pause they seemed to, leaving only one cloakshape to play watch-dog over the escaping Serenity, holding positon until Dek and Anka left and were clear of their 'zone'.
Taddio Tara’dek:
Dek’s eyes narrow dangerously as he hears the communication from the Starhell. Technically, they hadn’t done a single thing to help him, other then to just be there…and even then, they had been heading towards them before he had even sent out the call. But they were right about one thing. They had him outgunned at the moment. He felt confident that he could take on any one of them, but not all at once.
It was then, at that moment, that he noticed one of the ships hauling in the escape pod. If whom he thought was in there, he did not want to be around. And they were right about his realizing what they were. And he was just about to respond when a familiar voice commanded their release. He couldn’t put a name to it just yet, but it was a voice that was all too familiar.
Not about to second-guess their luck, he increases the power to his sub-light engines and puts more distance between the scavengers and his ship. “R2, I think things up here will be fine. Go check on those R4 units and see how repairs are going. We need those Ion Drives as soon as possible. The sooner we arrive on Adega, the better off we will be.”
The R2 astromech droid beeps and whines at him, acknowledging its orders, and also its relief at the thought of reprieve from space travel. It was something that he was glad for as well. Particularly if his associate had that cloaking system up and running yet, then it would be a lucrative stop indeed. Before all of this had happened, he had been scheduled to return to his base of operations for a retrofit to his sensor array, and some other minor upgrades.
That was why Adega, or Ossus as it was known to some, was such a perfect base of operations for him. The mining colony often had repair crews, and other such help, coming to keep the mining colony up and running. With a flash of a little profit, those same crews would gladly extend their time on planet to help with repairs to ‘Serenity’. If he had any luck at all, they would still be on planet. He had all the items he needed to repair his ship at his dry dock, but it would go a lot smoother with the help of a knowledgeable crew.
Making a few adjustments, Dek sets ‘Serenity’ on a preprogrammed course that followed the Perlemian Trade Route, and would take them by the Cron Drift before disembarking and taking them to Ossus. The Pirates, in the meantime, were still in visual range, and he could only hope that he was right about whose voice he had heard. If it was the man he was thinking of, then they would allow ‘Serenity’ to go peacefully. The voice reminded him of a man he had served with on the crew of Captain Bandini’s ship, another pirate group, and one he had gladly served on for a few years before branching out on his own.
“Well, looks like we’ll be safe for the time being Anka.” He voice showing his relief. As powerful as his ship was, it was severely depleted from months out in space, and damaged from several fights, the worst being the battle with the Infiltrator. The sounds of his R2 unit distracted him for a moment as it relayed that the Ion drives were greatly damaged, but that temporary repairs could be made, making the drives usable for a brief period of time. It would take about a half hour, but to Dek’s mind, that was acceptable. Even a brief jump into hyperspace would cut days, even weeks, off of their journey.
“Stay there and help out the R4’s, the sooner we can make the jump to light speed, the sooner we will be on Ossus, and we can all take a much deserved break.” And hopefully be more prepared for the challenges to come, he thought to himself. This was not over, that much he knew. Their enemy was not dead, he had even been brought on board one of the ships, and might even, at that moment, he slaughtering its crew and taking over the vessel.
Looking over at Anka, he knew she would have something to say, but he didn’t have time to just sit and listen without doing anything else, but he was paying attention to anything she might have to say. While he waited, he began setting up a secure communication line between ‘Serenity’ and his base of Adega.

Anka:
Anka stood almost dumbfounded as Dek began to push buttons and speak to the droids, not knowing what he was doing, only knowing that he was getting them to safety. Moving slowly to the seat next to him, she looks at him confused as she lays her hands in her lap, hearing all of the words that he has spoken and still not sure what is going on.
Moving her fingers she pointed to all of the things he had been toying with, as she spoke to him. “What are all those things for, and who were those people?” So many things were running through her head, almost too many as she looked at the lit up buzzers and sounds going off, knowing that the ship had been hit, she began to wonder if they would make it to where they were going.
Waiting for him to respond, she shifted in her seat, crossing her legs and looking to Dek for the answers that she needed. She knew that he had answers and he looked like he knew what he was doing, but she had so many questions that she wished for him to answer. “I just wish I knew what to do, and what was going on here.”
Taddio Tara’dek:
His eyes lift briefly as the Twi’lek finally starts to show an interest in what is going on, besides rancoring at him. Believing that the worst was finally over, he responds to her. “Well, I’m not sure I can explain everything you are seeing here in the displays. But as for those people…well, simply put, they’re pirates of the worst kind. They have no morals, no code to speak of. If they can make a profit, they’ll do whatever they can to take things from you. Luckily, I think I know the man that runs that particular group, and that knowledge is what set us free.”
His fingers hit a few more buttons, turning off the alarms, and resetting his sensors. For a moment, at least, the pirates didn’t seem interested in chasing him. Perhaps it has something to do with favorable memories between he and the owner of the group. Or, then again, perhaps they just didn’t want to risk a full on battle between his ship and theirs. Cornered prey was often far deadlier, because it had more to lose, and nothing left to hold back for.
As Anka asked another question, he realized that she felt lost and confused. He wasn’t really sure what he could do to reassure her, but he would at least try. “Well, if you plan on sticking around and traveling with me, I would be more then happy to teach you how to pilot ships and speeders. But these aren’t things that you can just learn over night. They’ll take time to learn.” He looks over at her, tilting his head to the side as he wonders whether she would take him up on the offer. He could always use someone to help him on jobs, and someone that could do some piloting would help immensely. The slave circuit was great, but something he just didn’t have time to use it when he had to fight for his life.
“As for what was going on, well, thankfully ‘Serenity’ here is heavily modified. She looks like your run of the mill Space Yacht, but she’s got a lot to her that no one knows about. I guess our enemy underestimated us, and apparently I overestimated the firepower of that Infiltrator.” The Infiltrator itself was a story for another time, and one he wasn’t going to share with her unless she asked him directly. “And our supposed protectors, as I explained, were nothing more then space pirates. They weren’t coming to our rescue, they were coming to investigate a possible plunder.”
His emerald gaze slides over her supple form before he returns his sight to the displays before him, punching in a few more commands. “Unfortunately, the pilot of the Infiltrator took a pop shot at us before abandoning ship, and it paid off. I wasn’t able to deflect all of the shots, and we took a considerable amount of damage. Not enough to shut the ship down, she’s still space worthy, but he did manage to do significant damage to one of the Ion drives, so we’re stuck with the sub-light engines.”
A string of words popped up on the main display, a message from one of the R4 units, telling Dek how much longer it would take, and also detailing a list of parts they would need to make the repairs permanent. He typed out a response before finishing the final touches on his communication to his Ossus base.
Even though he had already said it to her before, he figured that he would have to repeat it, “Right now, we’re on our way to a base I have set up when I need to lay low, or when I need to make repairs to my ship.” Both things of which he knew he needed badly at this moment. “It will give us some time to take a breather, and get ready for round two. The Sith are not forgiving adversaries, and I’m afraid that we’re going to have to take the offensive before all is said and done.”
Anka:
Listening, Anka nods her head slowly. “Pirates you say, so does that mean that you were once within a band of pirates or did you just do dealings with them.” Arching a brow she waited for a response to that, her mind drifting back to the first dealings that she ever had with pirates.
Sitting down in the chair next to Dek, she shook her head as he spoke of teaching her about the ship and how to pilot a speeder and such. Her voice quiet as she speaks to him, “I have no use in learning such things and I will tell you why.” Crossing her legs at the knee, she laid her hands in her lap, her eyes moving to watch him as she began.
“When I was a little girl, my father had dealings with pirates, one of the worst pirates in the Galaxy. What my father didn’t realize was just how ruthless he was, and the price he would have to pay for not having the goods that the man wanted. As a result, I was the payment.”
“For 10 years after that, I served as a slave, all because of my father’s dealings with pirates, I have never been back to my home planet, I don’t even know if any of my family is still alive. All I do know is that there should be no dealing with pirates ever.”
“So you can want to teach me all you want, it is not something that I think that I need to know and I understand about the Sith and I understand about the ship and having to go to where it is you are taking us. Perhaps now you will understand a little more why I am so untrusting.”
Standing from the chair, she moves to a window, looking out at the stars as they slowly move by, a sigh coming from her lips as she beings to wonder, just what is left of her home.
